  1. Yea. This isnt one of those topics that should be stickied to the top of the Fantasy Section.

Royals activated RHP Mike MacDougal from the 60-day disabled list. Manager Buddy Bell indicated last week that MacDougal could be put back into the closer's role right away, so fantasy leaguers will probably want to activate him now. That said, Ambiorix Burgos owners shouldn't be quick to drop the youngster. If MacDougal builds some trade value with his performance over the next couple of weeks, the Royals could move him and return Burgos to the closer's role.

  4. So you decide to stream line this instead of goving the 2 stickied topics that are 10 months outdated? Nice management skills. Its no wonder you have 1 active member after a yr of being open.
  5. The Devil Rays traded Aubrey Huff to the Astros for RHP Mitch Talbot and SS Ben Zobrist. Tampa Bay reportedly pays a big chunk of Huff's remaining salary for this season, receiving two good-but-not-great prospects in return. Houston surprisingly optioned Jason Lane to Triple-A to clear room on the roster for Huff, who has been hitting quite well of late after a very slow start. Huff becomes a free agent this offseason and will suddenly have tons of value in NL-only leagues.

Dwyane Wade could be following LeBron James' lead. Wade, who reportedly agreed to a five-year, $80 million max extension with the Miami Heat last week, is instead expected to sign a three-year deal with a player option for a fourth season, ESPN The Magazine's Ric Bucher reported Tuesday. http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2516735
  7. LeBron James agreed to sign a three-year contract extension with a player option on Wednesday morning. James could have elected to take the maximum five-year deal that Cleveland first proposed, but instead can become a free agent just as the NBA's collective bargaining agreement expires after the 2010-2011 season. "We did extensive research and with the way the CBA is set up, it makes the most business sense to sign this extension and then look at another new contract in four years," James said. Financial terms were not disclosed.
  8. PITTSBURGH -- A freak accident involving White Sox third base coach Joey Cora and Cubs All-Star Carlos Zambrano could send the right-hander to the disabled list for the first time since 2002. Zambrano was the only Cubs representative at the All-Star Game on Tuesday night at PNC Park, and he was sent home with a bruised elbow -- the last thing the team's banged-up staff needed. X-rays were negative, and Cubs trainer Mark O'Neal was alerted by medical officials at the game. Zambrano is expected to undergo further tests today in Chicago. Though he was slated to pitch two innings, Zambrano was knocked out of the game after being struck accidentally by a fungo bat swung by Cora during batting practice. Cora and the rest of the Sox coaching staff left PNC Park immediately after the game. http://www.suntimes.com/output/cubs/cst-spt-cub12.html
  9. Well your was specifically about the players selected. Mine was about the game itself. The Liriano thread should have been with your thread and mine should be seperate.
  10. MVP Michael Young had a two-run triple in the top of the ninth to lead the American League to a 3-2 win over the National League in Tuesday night's All-Star Game. David Wright and Vlad Guerrero hit HR for their respective club. Penny started off the game for the NL and was throwing 99mph consistently. This was the 9th straight win for the AL club.
  11. What a way to finish the race.... 1) Kenseth Leading with like 3 laps to go. 2) Gets spun out on the corner by Gordon 3) Gets put in like 8th spot to start after the caution. 4) Then runs out of gas while waiting for the race to re-start after the caution 5) Gets to his pit changes tires and get gas.... 6) Gets back out on the track to wreck his car and finish somewhere in the back of the field. 7) Gordon wins.
  12. Is this that big soccer tournament nobody in America talks about? WTG Italy I guess.
  13. Men's Singles - Final - Completed 1 2 3 4 R. Federer #1 - 6 7 6 6 R. Nadal #2 - 0 6 7 3 I tried to set it up to read properly but it keeps coming up like this.
  14. You mean truth, like you saying you have a life or truth like saying you are almost 30 and have never had a job?
  15. After being scratched from his scheduled outing on Sunday with a strained oblique, Mark Prior is questionable to make his first start after the break. Prior, who was reportedly hurt in batting practice Saturday, is scheduled to pitch next Sunday. "We're going to play it by ear," he said. "This morning, I felt good getting up and sneezed and realized it wasn't getting any better. Hopefully, after four days, it'll be all right. I'm mad. ... I've never had a problem with my side." If Prior goes on the DL, Carlos Marmol will start July 16 rather than be skipped the first time through after the break. John Patterson left Sunday's game in the second inning with a right forearm strain. It's the same injury that had Patterson on the DL for two months, though there's likely more going on with his elbow than what the Nationals know about or are admitting. If he goes back on the DL, the Nationals can replace him with Tony Armas Jr. after the break.
  16. Tom Glavine has decided to skip Tuesday's All-Star Game after starting Sunday against the Marlins. Chris Capuano was named as his replacement on the NL roster.
