Funny the Yankees have babied him like crazy and of course he then ends up with a big injury anyway.

So far today the bullpen has already blown leads for harden and young for me. Carpenter is ina tie. Beckett is in a tie and somehow they call his run earned even though after it scored via an error he got a flyout and then the third out so the run would not have scored. Jackson is BARELY holding on for the rays so far. Then I have sanchez pitch later. I could very well have no wins out of 6 starts and if that happens I wouldbe tempted to give up. If I can't get any good stats when I have 6 starters going then how would I ever gain almost 30 points! edit: I am just giving up. There was still some hope, but I've had enough. I am not evenw aiting around to see if Isringhausen keeps his job. I waived him for Franklin. I picked up Guardado also. But I don't care what happens from now on., I had FIVE pitchers leave games with leads and 3 of them were blown by their bullpens. My offense is fine in all of the leagues, but I can't buy a win or good pitching ratios even though I DRAFTED PITCHING and others ignored pitching and then they end up doing better by trusting waiver wire crap.

I may even put him in active now since ramon hernandez has started doing bad again, I figure the extra roster space may be worth another week of having a hurt guy as a backup catcher. All of my moves still are backfiring. Now my starters for today are doing bad. Nothing I do seems to work out this year. Any time I have a dominant start someone else gives up 6 runs and ruins it.

I don't know. Duchs maybe. I myself waived Lowe to get an extra starter in and am claiming him back myself with a #2 since he starts tomorrow. I am sick of how everything is going. Well on both of those teams Harden was one of them and he was winning 6-1 in the fifth and now he fell apart, gave up 4 earned, and then the bullpen finished off the meltdown themselves in the seventh where I already have a bad start for the day. Hopefully the others will offset him and his 8 k's could turn out valuable. His whip was right around 1.50 so not a killer yet.

I picked up 2 guys in each league right at the daily/weekly deadline today. Now in 1 league I have 6 starts tomorrow and in another I have 5. The guys I picked up for tomorrow are edwin jackson, jamie moyer, and johnathan sanchez. Ones for enxt week are pedro and bush.

You know being in an AL or NL only league would be cool becuase I usually get the #1 waiver wire position and keep it while others watse their picks on no-name guys. In one of those type leagues I could have picked up Manny or Texiera free at the deadline!

True. Honestly one league I have known for ages I ahve almost no chance in, but I still make my moves and see what happens. So I guess I need to just chill. In the 2 leagues I have a slight chance in I am currently 25 and 25 and 1/2 out in. In one of them I was 18 out earlier this week and then had some bad starts so obviously I have shown I can cut into that lead. In the other league I see 36 points to be gaiend. But I kind of overestimate points I can gain sometimes. Some jerk in one of my leagues keeps posting declaring that I can't win the league. I guess I should listen to some jerky stranger of course. I hate though that I do so great late in seasons when it's too late. It's happening again this year. I am gaining ground as I get more decided on which players to use and if I had done it sooner I could win. My big mistake was the same as ALWAYS. I liked players so much that when they got hurt I kept them IN THE LINEUP or if possible I benched them All those weeks of having no stats from some of the positions probably cost me a lot even had I just used a crappy waiver wire guy instead.

I am about to pretty much give up. Everything was going to have to go right for the final 2 months for me to havea chance and already a lot of bad things have happened and I am right back far behind again.

He is running again, but he is the odd man out with manny there. He will NEVER play against a lefty again and maybe not against righties. I don't "need" steals because I have probably 12-15 THIS WEEK alone. But I would rather have him stealing. You didn't answer whether Weaver or Carpenter are ones I should drop/add. Weaver has an over 4 e.r.a. so I think I should just drop him today and use that for an add/drop slot. Carpenter maybe I should not drop. I am taking a HUGE risk by using Weaver today against the Yankees.

Whoa I didn't notice how great of a season pudge had in 1999. He hit .331 with 35 homers, 25 steals, and more than 110 runs and more than 110 rbis! I think in one league my main hope is if I start adding and dropping starters. I wonder if Weaver or Carpenter would be considered bad enough to warrant me adding and droppi8ng them. Plus Weaver faces NYY twice this week and I picked both up off waivers anyway so if I waive them it's simply returning guys I got cheap in order to load up on wins and k's from other starters each day. I am leaving Weaver in to face the Yankees today. I hope that is not a bad decision but I NEED a start today. By the way Derek Jeter is a FA and I just waived Hardy despite his hot streak. Are Tulo or Hardy of them better than Jeter? I am torn between picking up Jeter or keep using Tulo. I may have no option if I go to bed without picking up jeter since someone may want him. Tulo is hot though. Tempted to waive pierre for Jeter. Ankiel is hurt and forced into my lineup but nothing I can do about him, too valuable to wavie.

Yesterday Pudge Rodriguez was dealt to the Yankees for Kyle Farnsworth. Today the Dodgers got Manny Ramirez and the Red Sox got Jason Bay. Ibanez was going to be dealt to the Blue Jays, but apprently it fell through.

Manny Ramirez is probably about to be dealt to the Marlins.

Anyway. That team where I stole all those bases, exploded offensively, and had great pitching to gain me 9 points in the past 2 days I NOW HAD BECKETT IN. That is my problem this yea.r When I do gain ground someone has a TERRIBLE start to offset every single goood thing. And Carpenter only lasted 4 innings.

CBS approved my deal less than 40 minutes before the daily deadline and when I noticed it, it was 25 minutes too late for me to change it and I DON'T GET ANY STATS FOR TODAY. Now watch them tell me there is "nothing they can do about it". Yeah there is something they can do about it. They can stop being idiots. They have already lied to me several times about rules in the past also! And I am almost positive they told me they never approve deals right before a deadline!

I've now got within 18 suddenly in one league and am 5 and 1/2 behind a guy who made fun of me when I said my offense was one of the best and he said I had no chance. In the past 2 days alone I have gained 9 points thanks to 8 homers and 9 steals in jujst those 2 days and also almost 30 runs and rbis. Top that off with Chris Young, Jerred Weaver, and Carlos Zambrano having great starts and saves by wagner and broxton.

CBS suggests trading vlad. Now what sense does that make when Vlad now will have a great player cleaning up behind him? Obviously he is about to get better pitches.

I'm somewhat interested in the Rockets since they have Dorsey and they even want to sign him to a 3 year deal, which is not common for second round picks.

By the way you said Manny has great numbers. Well Texeira has better numbers and rotoworld calls him "overrated". honestly Roto World is starting to be ridiculous. They're too busy trying to add humor into their comments to actually get stories up. They were late telling about Rodney becoming the new clsoer, for example. So I missed him in every league. They also bash tons of hitters who are having good seasons, such as Juan Pierre. They make fun of him constantly and he has about 35 steals and close to a .300 average!

John Lackey has a no-hitter through 7 innings at Fenway park of all places. Luckily I kept him in this week despite him facing the red sox and yankees. Not only does he have a no-no so far, but he has only walked 1 batter and hit 1 batter for the only base runners. Eight Innings. If he is perfect in the ninth he won't even have to face Ortiz or Manny again. edit: Was all ready to post Lackey's no-hitter and then Pedroia broke it up with 1 out in the ninth. Unfortunately I had a feeling he was going to break it up. It's just really hard to keep watching how my players do. That close and then he gives up a homer to boot and of course it's not manny or ortiz who got it. They are both on my team. So I give up the homer and then it's not even my guy who hits it.
