  1. And you said no. I forget who you said would win. Also I think you told me Lee would not win. I said all year he would win for the AL.
  2. Who was it that told you he would win it and you said no? Oh yeah, me. He should not have got it, in my opinion though.
  3. I was going to predict he would win, but I thought it would be far from unanimous. He definitely deserved it to be unanimous, but many reporters were acting like him missing time with his broken hand meant someone else should win it.

Now Tennessee dropped to 3-7 and Memphis went up to 5-5 despite using a fourth string QB. lol
  5. Nah you would have made me lose worse.
  6. I heard Chris Davis is already predicted to hit 40 homers next year. OK I am sick of losing in flb leagues after I once mastered them, so this off-season I need to DO.MY.HOMEWORK. and not have a bad draft!

The Tennessee Volunteers fired Phillip Fulmer (forced him out) effective after this season ends. He has been the coach for 17 years, but like Joe Torre in baseball he always seemed to make odd decisions and get by based off of the players' talent rather than managerial/coaching decisions. Nonetheless he was obviously a good coach to be able to win about 150 games. Tennessee is only 3-6 this season. in fact even Memphis has a better record and they lost their first, second, and THIRD string quarterbacks which somewhat offsets the much better schedule of Tennessee's. Basically for either Tennessee or Memphis to make a bowl game, they need to win their final three games. I actually think it's probably more likely for Memphis to do it, despite using a fourth string QB. Why? They play a 1-8 team on the road and then play 2 home games against teams with 2 or 3 wins.

You didn't pick them, so dunno why you are glad they won. lol I personally wanted TB to win. But it is kind of funny that the WS ended on Lidge finishing the season 48 for 48 in saves when you always used to make fun of me owning him. lol

Now game 5 will not resume until tomorrow. This helps out TB a lot because Hamels won't be able to continue and now since it will push back games 6 and 7, TB could use Kazmir again in game 7 possibly or at the very least they could rearrange some things.

The Phillies won Game 1 of the World Series. Hamels and Lidge finished off the Rays 3-2. If more people were at this site I was going to put each individual game up for bet. If I had done that I would have picked the phillies for game 1, rays for game 2, rays for game 3. Then "probably" rays for games 4 and 5. So in other words I am picking the Rays to win in 5 games (winning every game from now on). But my "backup" prediction is for the Phillies to win Hamels' next start, which would be game 4 I think. So bottom line: Rays will win in 5 or 6.

Yeah, I'm glad they got it done. The bullpen was shaky as I figured it would be, but they held on. Everyone talked about Price all year and he sure did save them in this game. That was an interesting eighth inning with five pitchers pitching.

*89/100* 81/100 69/100 The 89 ties my all-time record. I worked hard to try to beat the record and I missed my 98'th shot. I concentrated after that letdown and nailed the 99'th and 100'th to tie though. edit: whos I apparently was wrong. i did beat my record, not just tie it. i went back through this topic and apparently my record was 88 back in mid 2006. I looked afetr then at all my posts and I don't see an 89 anywhere so I guess I beat my record after all. This sucks. I got mad I only tied it and really I did beat it. lol I still wanted to break the 90 plateau though! What's interesting is notice I made 80+ the next batch after the 88 and the next batch after this 89. And trust me I expended a LOT of energy in the 89 because I was trying hard to beat that record. I seriously thought I didn't have enough energy left to do good, yet I got over 80 again. That third set definitely went downhill due to me being so tired. lol

Unfortunately I think the red sox are going to the world series. The Rays had their chances and blew them and I think it's more likely that Lester does good tonight than it is that TB's pitcher will. I thought to myself all along it's a huge fluke that TB's bullpen was "one of the best" this year. Look who they had! An aging and hurt Percival and then guys such as Wheeler who can't throw the ball over 90 mph.

For a baseball fan, Aaron sure is posting a lot in here. lol J.D. Drew once again was Boston's hero as they came back from down 7-0 in the 7'th to win 8-7. I do not believe they will come back to win the series. I believe Tampa Bay will win game 6. If it goes to Game 7 it is kind of a tossup though since Lester can be good. Really game 6 is a tossup also if Beckett is himself. But I think TB will get the job done. At least they will get to take care of business at home. But really TB is playing with fire since it's not easy to continue beating Boston due to their high pauroll and they blew their chance to take care of it tonight.

Torre showed his bad managerial decision-making skills once again. He's a good manager, but he doesn't get it done well enough to win it all anymore becasue in the past he had enough talent to overcome his shortcomings. He should have known to bring in Broxton to face Victorino. I thought it was cool Stairs won it though. I was thinking as he batted "he used to be great at homering" and then boom he homered to win it. My two teams I bet on in the betting center ehre are both ahead on their series. I wanted L.A. and Boston to be in the WS, but I picked neither.

  20. For the first time ever I went to a college football game. It was televised by espn. Memphis was down 28-14 at the half and ended up losing 35-28. Four of Louisville's five touchdowns were on big plays and Memphis destroyed them in overall stats foe the game. One Louisville TD was on a long pass, one was on a 95 yard kickoff return, one was from blocking a Memphis FG attempt and running it all the way back, and one was from a fumble recovery being run all the way back. Bottom line Memphis gave them the win and prevented itself from winning its fourth straight game. Also I now hears that on a late first down by Louisville theyw ere actually short and if Memphis had challenged it they may have ended up with another chance at a tying TD. As it is, they did have a chance fairly late and went for it on fourth and 2 or 3 and threw it out of the end zone!

All year rotoworld kept claiming that if David Price was not called up before September 1'st then he would not be eligible for the post-season roster. So how in the world did he pitch tonight???

The next round is set: Dodgers vs. Phillies Red Sox vs. Rays The Angels made some bad decisions in the ninth inning to cost them the series. I knew they were going to squeeze on 2-0. But he didn't make sure to get the bunt down. Then in the bottom of the ninth I would have walked Kotsay intentionally. They almost got torched by him by not doing that. Once he was out, I would have either intentionally walked Lowrie or I would have made the first pitch out of the strike zone. Shields pitched three straight pitches right down the middle. One was a double, the next was a very hard lineout, and the third was the game-winning single.
