Longer Season?
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,150196 The NFL season may be extended to 17 or 18 games within the next couple years. I don't like the idea because obviously some single season records will fall due to it.

UCONN Cheated
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/ne...o&type=lgns Last eyar Kansas beat Memphis with an ineligible player. Hopefully this year we don;'t lose to another cheating team... Hopefully we win all of our games though, so first we need to beat Missouri.

Stephen Strasburg
http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=sh-s...o&type=lgns How they say he throws faster than all but one player "at any level" ever I don't know. I saw several throw that same speed over the past few years and Nolan Ryan got it up to 108 mph before, if I am not mistaken.

Super Bowl XLIII
I know it's been ages since this game was played, but I never saw anything officially mentioning that last Cardinals offensive play which I kept saying was not a fumble. Now I came across this: http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...?urn=nfl,138123 It states the same thing I did that it's ridiculous that it was not officially reviewed.

2009 Projections
I decided to get out of the league right before it was going to tell our draft order and joined a league on march 30'th where I have more time to be ready. For now I am only doing 2 leagues, but considering a third. Not many even are close to filling though so I may be stuck with 2 and possibly could add a third after the season starts.

Memphis Wins 2010 National Championship
http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/basketball/ne...o&type=lgns This is NOT the first place I have seen someone say our recruiting class for enxt year is the ebst in the HISTORY of basketball. I assume they're banking on John Wall choosing use though. Even if he doesn't we wills till have the top recruiting class though. He said he is leaning toward us. That would be the top 3 prospects in the whole country coming here.

*Free Throws*
I think the reason i have eben missing more shots is because I moved the free throw line to 15 feet from the backboard and usually I had it 15 feet from the net in the past. I "think" it's supposed to be from the backboard. Just those few inches make a huge difference, especially when you're used to shooting it one way and have to get your aim down for a new distance. That being said, I did start hitting them regularly again starting in the middle of my shots. 61/100 82/100 3/10 3s edit: actually that makes no sense... lol If I was once measuring 15 feet from the basket then now I would be CLOSER not further away. I think at one time I measured from the abse of the stand though. Whatever. Either way i am remeasuring now to be sure if I can move it up any.

College Gymnastics
I think "maybe" Hollie Vise will finally be on tv tonight on some comcast channel I have. I think Oklahoma is in the competition. But knowing my luck she won't be in the competition for some reason. lol edit: sigh... yep I was right that she wouldn't be in it. I saw Courtney Kupets in another one though.

2009 Projections
I'm already feeling like I don't know enough for this year. I don't know what to do. I can t ever remember the young players and I don't do good judging which ones to pounce on early. And many guys already have injuries such as hamels, arod, manny, utley, etc... Also what's the deal with chamberlain being a reliever again??? The Yankees are dumb is why they never win anymore. Maybe I will take arod in round 5 if he is still available. I'm not sure. They list him as like the 30-40'th best player now, but not sure when I should take him. I think he's only worth a fifth rounder due to steroids talk and injuries, but if I wait until round 5 he will be gone probably.

Streak Continues
Actually another streak I heard: Memphis is the only team ever to have 25 game winning streaks in 3 straight seasons. Unlike past years, though, we're actually entering the ncaa tournament while IN our big winning streak still. If we win the national championship we will end the season with 31 straight wins and would finish 37-3. Last year we set the record with 38 wins, so if we were to win it all this year we would miss our record by only 1. It's pretty pathetic we didn't get a #1 seed, but we got the top #2 seed so even if we had gotten the #1 the ONLY difference would have been we would have been on the opposite side of the same bracket and if we play UCONN we would be wearing road uniforms now wheras it would have been home ones if we got the #1 instead of them. I also think it's annoying our game is in the morning Thursday rather than later in the day.

Streak Continues
Well this topic can stay dead for another half a year as Memphis ended their conference seasonw itht he streak still going at 61 now. Next year 3 wins ties the all time record and 4 beats it.

Streak Continues
The streak is at 60. Championship at 10:30 AM my time Saturday. We also are the first team this season with 30 wins, as we were lasts eason also. Our seniors have now officially won more games than any, yes ANY players in the history of basketball! Also memphis became the first tewam ever to win 30+ for 4 straight seasons and calipari the first coach to achieve that. UCLA was upset, so the only way UCLA will tie our new record for 4 straight 30 win seasons is if they get all the way to the national championship game. Some say we can still get a #1 seed and some don't.

Syracuse Wins In 6 OT
Man this was one great game. I started watching some time in the second half... probably about half way through it or earlier and then I watched all 6 overtimes. Finally the team I wanted to win, Syracuse, pulled out the victory by 10 points in 6 OT. Just a few days ago the experts siad the #1 seeds this year will be uconn, north carolina, pittsburgh, and oklahoma. Well today uconn, pitt, and oklahoma ALL lost! North Carolina did not play. I think this should mean Memphis will get a #1 seed if they win later today and tomorrow. It wouldn't really be fair to give so many teams #1 seeds after they lost their very first conference tournament games. Since UCONN finished third in their conference and then lost this I think it knocks them behind memphis. I think no QUESTION oklahoma is now behind us. Pittsburgh is fify. I think North Carolina will get a #1 regardless. If Louisville wins they will probably get a #1 now also. But either way Memphis deserves one more if these teams can't even win their first games like that!

Evans Freshman Of Year
http://gotigersgo.cstv.com/sports/m-baskbl.../031109aac.html Memphis' Tyreke Evans was named the cbssports.com National Freshman of the Year. Really the AP awards are all anyone pays attention to, but this shows he has a good chance at the AP one also.

*Free Throws*
Wow one shot today missed going in by what seemed to defy physics. It looked like it had rolled in and then it ended up going off the rim despite seemingly no momentum forcing it off. I also missed many more in weird ways really. 50/100 53/100 3/10 3s

2009 Projections
I just now finally bought my first team and still don't draft for almost two more weeks. And it's on a march amdness day so depending when Memphis plays, I may have to get out of it. There aren't even many optiions available as far as leagues which seem like they will fill in time. Have you ever even played a fanball one? I am thinking of getting a refund and buying one of those, but the payout is less for first place and then second and third get money though. You're pretty much giving some of your winnings to two other people.

Memphis Wins 2010 National Championship
Well Memphis might as well be written doewn as next eyar's national champions already. Now DeMarcus Cousins announced he is coming to Memphis. When the ratings are updated Memphis will be #1 in recruiting class for enxt year and to top that off the #1 recruit who hasn't yet commited is thinking very much about choosing Memphis. We already have the #2 recruit (Cousins), the #1/#3 recruit depending on which site's list you look at (Xavier Henry) and two junior college star players all coming! We're flat loaded.

Streak Continues
Memphis officially capped off their third straight undefeated conference season. They were only up by 3 points with around 11-12 minutes left and then exploded to win by a whopping 27 and cover their spread!
