A better chance at getting what??? Also that is not good stats for a second round draft pick.

I have GOT to stop using cbs from now on. Unbelievable. Now they suddenly approved the EXACT deal they vetoed last week. Harden for Hamilton. I think it was even vetoed TWICE. It can't be the same commish each time or else he's mentally ill. They didn't leave a message with it or anything, it simply was approved with no comments to the commish! Meanwhile lackey for hamilton was vetoed when I tried to get hamilton.

Manny A Baby
Someone who was in the Red Sox front office says Manny Ramirez probably took three straight strikes without taking the bat off his shoulder earlier this month to pay the red sox back for fining him $100,000+ for an altercation he had with a traveling secretary. And now those comments he made at the all-star game. Maybe he should consider the fact that he is performing horribly for his salary level this season. He's going to have less people want him as he turns into a jerk like Bonds. I own him in a league and I wish I didn't own him because he isn't doing anything at all.

Ha. Probably. Well I waived Price because I wanted to claim Chris Young. He is obviously a proven player and did fine in his rehab start yesterday. So rather than keep someone whose arrival date is unknown, I opted for the proveb starter who will be back late next week most likely. I also claimed Taveras and waived Bourn. I thus have injured Soriano (both of them) in my lineup. So I should maybe have waived pierre and kept bourn in, but bourn is not starting every game and Pierre is too close to returning to just waive now. I am starting to think this is my team with the best shot of winning. It is NOT the team with all the stud starters (not the REAL stud ones like santana and peavy, I do have zambrano and beckett and harden and verlander though). I am 24 and 1/2 out. The other two I am over 30 out in and can't get any trades done. On this one I have added such guys as weeks, both chris youngs, pierre, taveras, both sorianos, verlander, and harden within the past 2 weeks. Some I already had, but are coming back from injuries. Then some I dealt for or picked up. I already have great average and homerun stats so I am hoping these moves will gain me everywhere else. There is plenty time to gain in wins, e.r.a., whip, k's. A little harder to gain points in this league in runs, rbis, steals, and saves, but those all have plenty of points to be gained... they are just not ones I am close to gaining yet. I am hoping soriano closes soon to give me my third closer I need to stay in the middle of the saves category. My pitching staff is zambrano, beckett, verlander, harden, young, oliver at the moment. I probably should just ditch Oliver because one sign from last game was his high walk total. Makes me wonder if he is about to implode again. I should probably add and drop each day for oliver's spot. I don't really know any trades to do in that league because I don't need anything majorly. I like what I have. I have guys like berkman, pujols, ankiel, soriano for offense. Also hot huff among others. Then guys like weeks, figgens, pierre, taveras for speed.

Injury Reports
It appears that Alfonso Soriano, David Ortiz, Chris Young, and Juan Pierre will ALL be back next week. Figgins will be back later today. Taveras was back last night. Rafael Soriano MAY be back this weekend. Chris Carpenter should be back within 2 weeks.

For Fielder he only wanted lackey or felix hernandez.

I don't see why sites keep acting like Price will be called up and then they go weeks not mentioning him and I have no clue why a team half a game out of first place would randomly call up a minor leaguer to throw into their rotation. I don't know whether to keep holding him.

League Emails
No clue what you're talking about. I didn't say they were better than Santana and Peavy. (although you definitely overrated those two. Santana is freakin 8-7 for crying out loud)

Now supposedly receipts have been given to the government showing that Clemens received HGH in the mail. This is a ncie lesson for the kiddies. Don't lie because you will eventually get caught and look like an idiot.

Saito could be out the entire season. I had picked up Broxton both places I owned Saito and I was glad he is out that way I could waive him and not have to keep both on my roster. No bad feelings toward him, but had to look out for myself. lol

League Emails
I sent an email telling everyone I am done trading becuase the guy I was trading for hamilton and fielder from randomly dealt them both to other teams right after hours of us negotiating and me thinking we were about to get a deal done. I am sick of the NONSENSE OFFERS such as the ones you're referring to also. The guy with arod (one who stole him from me last week by doing a deal when mine was protested) claimed he was only trading for arod to deal him to ME. Now it turns out he was lying and is asking an insane asking price. He wants Santana or Peavy AND lackey for arod and crap. The guy with hamilton dealt hamilton straight up for harden and fielder straight up for sheets instead of dealing them both to me for cliff lee and john lackey. For me he claimed he needed Peavy or Santana in the deal if he was to deal BOTH of them. Injusy prone Sheets and Harden aren't as good as cy young Lee and former cy young Lackey! And sure aren;'t close to Peavy and Santana! Either way we had deals on the table and were going to get some done and so now for the SECOND time in a week I lose my players because of protests. I had already dealt lackey for hamilton!

Dud HR Derby Ending
Sure was a dud ending to the hr derby for 2008. Even the trophy presentation made it obvious nobody wanted him to win. lol

I hope someone other than CBS has good money leagues next year. Maybe fanball will end up being ok, but I doubt it would have nice crisp navigation like cbs has. I am sick of cbs' druggy commish. When I accept a new deal I am going to put a message with it and tell the commish that I'm sure he is not old enough to read it since he just hits the veto button like a little kid every time, but.... and then tell my reason for doing the deal.
-
The Fantasy Baseball Thread
Now Lackey for Hamilton was protested maximum times and I know the commish is too dumb to approve it so once again I wasted time doing a deal. Hard to come back when I can't even get a deal done. Soon I am going to start adding and dropping like crazy to build up k's and wins because it's the only way since I am around 30 points ut. You say punt k's and wins by not adding, but that isn't acceptable because even the 10's in e.r.a. and whip mean nothing if the others are 4's and 5's.
-
The Fantasy Baseball Thread
I dunno. I would have to start gaining a lot of runs and rbis and k's and wins. In somme leagues I am 20 wins back, 150 k's back, 80 runs back, 70 rbis back, and such similar numbers.

Well that was a waste. I paid the money and there is only ONE roto league and it has a whopping 1 person in it. I also don't know whether I like daily or weekly most. Guess I will have to get a refund. Just a shame I will lose all my money this year because I am confident that a second half team would be different, as I couldn't likely do as horrible with a new team since my bad luck is surely run out by now.

My decisions keep being great. I benched Cain this week and left Lackey in. Lackey gives up 15 hits and Cain dominates the cubs. I am undecided whether to buy a new team and I a almost out of time to do it. Maybe I will buy one then if I change my mind I will get a refund. I dunno, but I am 24+ out in all leagues. Half a season probably is not enough time to come back from that far down.

I wonder if I should not use oliver perez since COL has exploded every game lately. I hate to not use him though because I wanted someone else and didn't pick them up for the past 5 days since I wanted to keep oliver.

Adam Jones got a 3 runner just now but I don't have him because I flat can't find anyone to waive. I picked him up for next week on my weekly team, but on my daily teams I would have to waive someone like isringhausen, putz, price, hairston, ludwick, gordon, willingham, or thome and all of those have had reasons to keep lately.

2008 Homerun Derby
The 2008 homerun derby probably won't be too great since as usual the big names apparently opted out. However a former University Of Memphis player is in the derby. Dan Uggla. Last year all of these people talked down Memphis' sports yet the football team has gone to bowl games all but one year recently, the cheerleading and dcance teams won national championships, the basketball team was in the NC game, and now this baseball player is an all-star and in the HR derby. Others are "from" Memphis, but not the school itself, such as the Orioles closer.

I was already going to. Interesting we both felt that way. I ahven't done it yet, but probably will tonight where I can afford to drop someone. I have noticed for a while now he is on fire average-wise and I have horrible averages.
