Well UCONN indeed won and beat the spread. Unfortunately like most things here, nobody used the betting thingy though. lol I shoulda bet myself. I would have won. I am probably the only admin who likes the points mods so much that he uses them all a ton and gets points himself. lol

I think I want UCONN to beat Villanova because then we MAY be #2 on one poll. Either way we PROBABLY wont be lower than 3 on either. And btw, UAB may finally be ranked on coachs' poll Monday and we play them on the road Thursday.

Until the forum is active enough to where people notice this, I will probably post here when I put an event up to bet on. For now I am limiting bets to 100 points max until it is more active and also limiting it to 1 bet on an event per person. Bet on as many games as you want, but just not the same one more than once. The only current game to bet on is: #2 Villanova at #3/#4 UCONN. Betting ends at 1 P.M. (ET)

ok it APPEARS this has all been fixed and is paying out properly. I paid back a loser's second bet which wasnt supposed to be made.
  5. Memphis was losing to a terribvle team tonight with about 7:05 left in the game. Then we exploded for an 11-0 run and we ended up winning the game by 11 points, when it was all said and done also. Not enough to win Aaron points, but this was ncie. We needed a game like this where we sucked where we could get our heads back on straight. NORMALLY a great team LOSES this type of game and THAT teaches them a lesson. Hopefully we got our wake up call without losing. We have now won 15 in a row. The most any Memphis team has ever won in a row is 20.

Thanks. And nice following of rules.

You can now bet points on sports matchups and even other things once I set them up. The payout doesnt seem to be working right, but I put a test game for tonight. The cutoff time is EASTERN Time. For today I am only allowing 10 point bets. FOR NOW only bet 1 time on a matchup. I really doubt I will ever allow multiple bets on the same event! That makes no sense once I raise the limit. The limit is there for a reason, why let people bet 2 times to double the limit? lol Anyway, here are some notes: 1. The team must win by the "spread" or you lose. Sometimes I will have no spread. 2. If payout is not 1:1 (example it is 2:1 for this practice one) then if you pick the UNFAVORED team, you will get the 2:1, 3:1, etc... payout. If you pick the FAVORED team, you get your bet back plus 1:1 payout. Until I bother putting the link up there, the link is http://www.gottalk.com/index.php?act=Bookie
  8. Oh ok. No prob.

61/100 80/100 (mud) And now my shoe (air max) is like leaking air when I walk. *sigh*
  10. Umm what was the point of this being in general discussion? lol
  11. Terrible game, but Memphis still managed to win by 10 for their 14'th straight win.

As bad as some teams people claim are the ones who play us. For instance tonight UTEP is playing us and they have a lot better record. No matter how much ND lost games by, having a record as bad as theirs shows they are a bad team this eyar for now. They could fix that only by going far in the tourney really, but they wont MAKE the tourney.
  13. Jason replied to Jason's topic in Basketball
UCONN blew a 19 point second half lead and hung on to win in OT against a bad team by only 1 point.

btw, for the first time all year Memphis has a first place vote in the AP poll also.

No big surprise, but Barrry Bonds said he badly wants to pass Babe Ruth in career homeruns, but he "isn't sure" if he wants to beat Hank Aaron.

    Just use them, moron.

AP POLL 1. Duke 2. Villanova 3. UCONN 4. Memphis COACH'S POLL 1. Duke 2. Villanova 3. Memphis 4. UCONN As I expected, the polls were split. But I had no idea UCONN would drop 3 palces. I figured Villanova would be the team we split with, thus being second and fourth. We gained 2 more first place votes in the coach's poll also. If I was a 'Nova fan I would have thought this is fair. I admit the truth., I would have. But it still is very unfair to Memphis to win 2 games by 39 and 40 and move down. Sure Villanova beat a top team, but we played tough against and beat tough teams too, it justw asn't this past week! I think we should be 2 on both polls, then Villanova third and UCONN fourth on both.

Hood job of not talking about it before it even took place. A big race for you not to mention when you wanted this forum, loser. lol
  20. Jason replied to Jason's topic in Basketball
Nope. We may be #4 on both polls, maybe #3, maybe #2. Who knows. But Texas losing helped us immensely in what matters most, #1 seeds.
  21. Jason replied to Jason's topic in Basketball
Texas was blown out to almost assure Memphis of a #1 seed as long as we keep winning and even if we lose another game against UAB, UTEP, or Houston. Texas has been destroyed 3 times this season and they definitely cant give a team like that a #1 seed!
  22. I'm too tired to read it. I will just assume it isn't there.
  23. 1. He is your favorite pitcher also. 2. You probably imagined it sicne there is no link.
  24. Memphis wins 105-65 on the road against a team who gives up an average of 53 per game. We never slowed up. Beat them by 20 first half and 20 second half. One of our top players who almost skipped us for the pros (in fact he even declared for last year's NBA draft then changed his mind) did not even play due to a bruise. We now have our best start (24-2) in school history with the only 2 losses to teams in the top 6 in the country. One of which officials cost us (Duke). Nobody has more than our 13 straight wins, I don't believe. We are 10-0 on the road, the only team in all of basketball undefeated on the road (I assume that would even include the NBA). NOTE: Our game Wednesday night at 9 P.M. CT is on espn, the first antional broadcast of us on an espn channel in months.

Lt of typing you did there. To summarize, I assume it is an article about him being charged due to him drinking a few days ago, he also resigned from head coach and is in rehab.
