I would waive Winn for Votto and possibly Ibanez for Blake. Time to go with the hot hands rather then the bigger name.

I hear ya. Leading the lead in walks killed Bonds' overall stats. I stopped looking at box scores after everyone started getting live scoring. It was easier to run thru teams with live scoring rather then boxes.

sometimes a team looks shitty because it has no name value. You named 5 studs and whats surrounding them could be shitty names but are producing. I have a team that looks like shit but for some reason its tied for first. Some owners are just idiots.

I think it would be harder to get the hitting categories without manny. It would be easier to get the pitching categories thru good FA pickups. If you use the proboble starter link you can sort of predict who is an upcoming 2 starter ahead of time. I dont know why vlad for sizemore is ignored.

I personally think Id rather have Manny then Webb. I would do tavaras for ibanez though what 2 start starters are available to you?
-

Ok now I see Duchs, Lowe and Victor Martinez all become available on wed morning. Who's the top out of those 3?

I picked up Glaus 2 minutes before the deadline. Grabbed Pedro just after the deadline. Duchs and Lowe available on waivers. Worth a 1?

You do your best and if things dont work out ya move on and wait till next year. Its only Fantasy baseball and I think you are letting it get to you more then a game should.

Tulo hot and heading back to Colorado or the steady but unimpressive Jeter. Tough call. If you dont need steals then drop pierre but he is starting to run again. good luck

Again, all my drafted teams are posted. He was taken on 2 out of 9 teams. Looks more like a availability pick rather then someone I was targeting everywhere like Myers.

Unless he gets hot the final 2 months, Vlad is the bomb of the year. Manny isnt even close.

Tim Donaghy
NEW YORK -- Disgraced ex-NBA official Tim Donaghy admitted Tuesday that he brought shame on his profession as a federal judge sentenced him to 15 months behind bars for a gambling scandal that still has the league on the defensive. Advertisement U.S. District Judge Carol Amon sentenced Donaghy to prison time plus three years of supervised release, saying he let the sport down by taking thousands of dollars from a professional gambler in exchange for inside tips on games -- including ones he refereed. "The NBA, the players and the fans relied on him to perform his job in an honest manner," Amon said. Donaghy listened with his arms folded but showed no emotion. He told the judge that "I've brought shame on myself, my family and the profession." Defense attorney John Lauro asked Amon to give his client probation, saying the ex-official was a gambling addict who destroyed "the career he loved" and needed treatment, not incarceration. Donaghy, 41, also had sought to make amends by revealing "the good, the bad and the ugly" about the league's officiating, the attorney added. During the NBA Finals, Donaghy said in a court filing that the league routinely encouraged refs to ring up bogus fouls to manipulate results, while discouraging them from calling technical fouls on star players. In the end, Amon refused Donaghy's plea to stay out of prison, though she imposed a penalty that was not as tough as the 33 months he could have received. Donaghy must surrender to prison on Sept. 23.

Teixeira Traded
Steve Merek was the minor league pitcher. Guess its ok for a potential 2 month player. Boosts Tex's value a bit.

I coulda had Lee but the guy waited 5 days to let me know. I needed the OF and I see a decline for Lincecum over the last 2 months. I dealt him for sizemore in another league.

I just dealt Lincecum for Magglio.

I was 40 out of 1 league a month and a half ago. Now I'm tied for second 10 out. Still dont think I have enough to come fully back but its possible. If Carp and Young pitch like they can, then I have a shot.
