The forum has been upgraded to 2.1.6

Gallery has been upgraded to 2.0.7

Blog has been upgraded to 1.2.3

These mainly only fix security loopholes, as far as i can tell. Just letting you know i still keep things up-to-date. The process was much easier this time because only a few mods needed to be added again since most files did not have to be replaced.

If you ever notice a feature not working properly, please let me know... in case i overlook a mod which was affected in an upgrade.

Thank You

I now also upgraded Arcade from 2.5.2 to 2.5.4. And it is a mess. Hall of Fame is gone and also no points are taken or won anymore. So I will have to redo all that stuff.

edit: I just turned arcade off for now. Some other mod is out within 1-2 days which adds some points system and other stuff, so waiting to se what that is.

What about the ones that are already active?

How am I supposed to brag about this feature if its never available?

Has there ever been thought to having a donation link to other members. What I mean is Me being able to donate some of my points directly to a a specific member, maybe a new sign up. Maybe this way I can bribe some people to see how cool it could be.

Wow, I did not realize that there are going to be a ton of new features in IPB 2.2 and also Gallery and Blog will ahve numerous changes at that time also. I always thought 2.2 was only going to have some minor changes.

I am not sure when it will be released, but it has a BETA out now. So... I am guessing within 1-2 months it should be released.

Some features I noticed by snooping around about 2.2: It's own friends system, Private Message area now will fill up the whole screen like normal posts do, if I am not mistaken. Icons to show which gender you are. Multiple choice polls. Age already in it rather than having to use the mod for it that I have. You can rate people on their profile. Profiles TOTALLY redone.

I updated the site to 2.2 RC3, but there are a lot of problems. I THINK the board itself will work fine for you, but gallery and blogs are messed up and all mods are taken off the site, so nothing will work really other than posting.

  • Author

ok I think I fixed all problems except for now you can only use the default IPB skin or the black skin. Also, I havent messed with getting modifications to work again, other than the points system, because soon I will have to upgrade again and thus have to put the mods back in.

I will probably cut out some of the less used modifications where I won't be bloating this place with things nobody uses.

Thanks.

Latest upgrades are currently:

IPB 2.2.0

IPB Gallery 2.1.0

IPB Blog 1.3.0

In other words, now everything here is officially released, many bugs were fixed, and now many other sites will start using this version. I just used test versions here the past couple months, and now theya re final.

I'll put the modifications back in later. The points system is already back and that alone took an hour to put back because of complications to it on my version.

The site has been upgraded to 2.3.0.

There are some things not done yet.

1. In topic view it does not show points, reviews, awards, and moods yet.

2. Refresh online list is not put back in yet.

3. Board Tracker topic tage are not back in.

4. Member Map I had forgotten to put the link back to.

5. The new skin that came with 2.3.0 has not been worked on, so I can't release that skin yet.

I hope to have all of these things under control later tonight. I think everything else works well enough for me to open the site back up.

The profiles and topics will now load much faster. The overall performance of the site will be better, but not many new features.

However, I may add some new modifications soon.

Thank You

(by the way, you still receive points, but it only shows in profile view at this time.)

If you see any problems report it to the Bug Tracker by clicking the "Support" link at the top of the page, under the logo.

I also have not made sure templates are up to date so something may look wrong currently.

fixed some of those things.

I still have not quite got everything back in. It's a nightmare because I am fixing problems myself instead of waiting on authors to fix them.

I did figure out on my own how to get points, reviews, and member mood to show in search results and private messages though. So I added that on my own.

The site has now been upgraded to version 2.3.2 and Gallery has been upgraded to 2.2.1.

I worked a long time updating it with all of the modifications, so hopefully there are no problems. I do still ahve to make changes to the skin itself however.

I am working on a lot for the site and will tlak about that soon.

I also added back the feature where you don't have to enter a PM title if you don't feel like it and it will put a default title.

Thank You

Jason

I now fixed the skin issues. For example now search results no longer have the annoying space above them. The only bug in the main forum software I notice is it keeps syaing I haven;t read some topics which I really have read.
