For some reason I do not see a separate thread about the "viewing forum" mod.

Just letting people know I installed it back. But for it to work with as little load on the DB as possible, basically it is only updating once per minute. So it is not instant. When you see how many are in each forum area, you are really seeing it within 1 minute. So people who dont know how to sit still a few minutes wont show up properly.

Also it tells under the anme now instead of beside it because I just wanted to try it differently.

Despite it mainly being a bug fix release, I have upgraded the forum from 2.1.4 to 2.1.5. Although many won;t notice changes most likely, I am dedicated to making the forum work as well as possible for everyone. Thus I just spent my whole night doing this, I had to redo 33 of my mods. This is the fourth time I have spent 8+ hours ina night simply redoing modifications to make an upgrade work properly.

This is really only being posted just for the info and to let people know no matter how many are posting here, I am still trying my best to improve, regardless of whether it takes a lot of my time or not. But it would be much funner for everyone if more than 2 people would post.

Thank You to those who stick around. You're the reason I go through the crap of fixing things. The only thing messed up after the upgrade was profile views. But I managed to troubleshoot and find a tag not closed and some extra text and missing text, thus fixing it.

If you notice any problems (very possible since I spent 8 hours doing this and got tired during it) just please let me know.

I am testing to be sure the points are still given out since I had to redo the points mod also.

The only problem l can see is you don't have any members. You need to address that, and forget about adding mods that no-one is using. You should make yourself a sig with a link back here and join a heap of forums, post and make friends, no-one is just going to turn up.

You also need a decent skin, the one you have is a mess, it's unfriendly, untidy, and the text is way too big.

No clue how you manage to get errors that nobody else ever gets. I just searched inr eviews with no error and went all through downloads without one.

Anything that is a mess about the skin is because the "graphics people" arent ever even online at all anymore so I just randomly did some things because I wanted it black and white and I prefer not using someone else's skins. Especially since I would then have to add in all mods' template edits again wheras if I do one my own I can base it off this skin, export it, import it back and do the changes.

I have put my site in a sig several places. I have advertised several places. I have always eben doing things to try to get new members. And my main goal is for people to have fun, not for me to make ad money. It's just a matter of people deciding they want to help in the beginning to make it seem more active to guests really. All of the members got mad that I was asking them to post a little more and just left I guess. All i can figure out.

I have a lot of ideas, but they are hopeless when their isnt activity. For example I cant do awards when 2 people post. And with all the "got" shirts out there, shirts would be cool but nobody at this point would want one. I still hope to get the place huge at some point, but it is difficult right now when I advertise like crazy and nobody cares. The problem is advertising on other forums doesnt work because they like THOSE forums.

I dont think Members is the big problem its getting ACTIVE members. It seems there is a steady diet of people joining but nobody seems to start posting. If I join a forum, the first thing I would do is post a hello in the welcome area. These members joining arent even doing that. So I dont really get it.

I dont go to a ton of forums so I really dont understand what you mean by a skin being unfriendly or lettering to big or sloppy. I personally think the set up is fine with a ton of areas where anybody should be able to find atleast 1 area to post in. Thats not even taking into account all the features listed at the top.

That's what I was thinking too, but oh well. I will probably get other skins though. But anyway yeah a couple more joined from amg and they havent posted anything either. You have to have... I would say at least 5 really active members for an extended period of time for guests to think about joining. I do about all I can, upgrading, adding mods, and talking a lot myself. I could have 5,000 posts at least right now if anyone else talked much.

It isn't good to beg either though, so either they post or they don't I guess. This should have all been in another topic anyway.

Just to respond to his post: I already responded about the skin and I can only add the mods... I can't force people to use them.

The limits he mentioned are experimental and plus arent there for higher groups. Limits on points won doesnt matter anyway because it is all relevant. It simply makes it where 1,000 here are worth what 10,000 would be somewhere else is all. Justharder to get high totals here, but then if you do it means more basically.

The 33 #s for lottery is ebcause I like the #33. Nobody gets tickets anyway, so who cares how many are on it. Reviews is of course being finalized is why no reviews ar ein it. On casino 10 of 50 games because other games werent fun and some paid out way too much to where it made the current games seem worthless compared to those. Even the current ones pay more than I would like sometimes.

Like I said people need toc are to use the features before complaints matter.

I still think it would be more fun if people can win higher amounts. All you have to do is increase the price for things. Id rather spend 100 points to play arcade if I could win 500.

I do appreciate no stupid payout deduction. I saw that on somebody else's casino and that might be the dumbest thing Ive ever seen. Nobody would ever goto a real casino if the house took a % of your winnings. F'n moronic.

That is because some of the games pay out way too much normally. Thus why I am not using those instead of doing deductions on everything. Everything has to be relative. If I go up in how many you can win on certain things then points for posting become pointless, reviews' points would be pointless, etc... because other things would be dishing out som many points that those would not matter much. If i do make it where it is higher amounts of points it certainly won't be while nobody is active here like presently. For 1 day there was more posting, but now it is right back to us 2.

That is a high number. It should be between 0.10 and 0.30. And a few minutes ago it was over 3 whole seconds. Things like that can crash the DB easily. I notified them so hopefully they start listening.
