Posted September 12, 200619 yr comment_7615 I've loved the Yankees since I was a little kid, going back to like 85-86ish, and aside from 04, the Redsox always have a decline in September. I really think that this year is the worst I've seen, though. Veritek goes down for the season in August, other injuries plague them, a major one being Papplebon, it's just amazing how much they've crumbled here. What do you people think? Are they a team with guts that can actually go anywhere, or was it just a total fluke a couple years ago?
September 12, 200619 yr comment_7621 I figured it was a fluke all along. I hate them because 2 people I have talked to extensively online both love them. And these people are asses to me, so I can't stand any teams they like. They were actually my favorite team in 1005 and 1996 though because my favorite player (Jose Canseco) was on the Red Sox. I have a Red Sox garbage can in my room and a poster of Jose on the Red Sox. lol I sure hate them now though. Honestly, I pretty much can't stand the Yankees or Torre either though. Probably more than the Red Sox though. A couple people here are big Yankees fans. Aaron and Chels. Chels hasnt been here since November though.
September 13, 200619 yr Author comment_7626 See, I love Boston fans online. They're always there to talk to you when the yanks are losing, but as soon as they win (cough five game sweep) they disappear. Then, when they resurface, they don't want to talk about baseball. >_<
September 13, 200619 yr comment_7630 Yeah I loved that 5 game sweep. lol Only thing I don't like is it is pretty much assuring Papelbon will be out for the year and I had him on several big dollar fantasy teams. I am going to win thousands and Papelbon being out, and staying out due to them being out of the race at this point, may really cost me several thousand. Hopefully not.
