AVIVIM, Israel (CNN) -- Israel sent tanks and troops across the Lebanese border Saturday in the 11th day of its military offensive against Hezbollah militants.

But Israeli military officials and diplomatic sources insisted that they do not plan a full-scale ground invasion.

The reinforcements headed to a village where troops are already positioned.
