According to ESPNews, the Yankees have signed Sidney Ponson for the remainder of the season.

hahahah I love when pitchers you tlak down go to your team. First Brown, now Ponson. Can;t wait till your hero Maddux ends up there. lol

Braves acquired RHP Bob Wickman from the Indians for catcher Max Ramirez.

Coming off a brutal June, Wickman has pitched scoreless innings for saves in each of his four appearances this month. He's not a very good pitcher these days, but a switch to the NL should help quite a bit. The Braves will make him their closer and put Kenny Ray in a setup role. The Indians are likely to replace Wickman with Fausto Carmona.

People keep picking up Rafael Soriano suddenly and I see no rumors about him anywhere.

Also didn't know Matsui willl be back soon and someone took him where I need him! And also Prior was waived recently and I had no idea he was clsoe to being back or I would have picked him up!

The White Sox are "extremely close" to trading for Nationals outfielder Alfonso Soriano, a source close to the situation told ESPN's Tim Kurkjian.

White Sox GM Ken Williams said Monday that Brandon McCarthy, who is rumored to be going to the Nationals in an Alfonso Soriano deal, won't be traded.

"I have no intention whatsoever of trading him in any sort of deal," Williams said. "He's very much a part of our future. To answer your question, Brandon is not going anywhere." Commenting on Tim Kurkjian's original report, ESPN's Keith Law said McCarthy would be a part of the deal. That no additional details have come out since the afternoon has us wondering just how "extremely close" this really is.

I wish you or someone would tell me rumors. I see rotoworld stuff like this, but I never see rumors in general like espn always used to have and now thinks I should psy to see.
