My dad had noticed billboards here for a while now saying Memphis is espn's #1 team in the country in their preseason poll.

Well now on the way home from a casino tonight there was a billboard in Mississippi saying Memphis is ALSO CBS' #1 team in the country. w00t.

I am going to Midnight Madness tonight (which isn't at midnight anymore). It will be televised at midnight ET on ESPNU for anyone who actually has that channel.

Now 2-0 on the season. Another great Gme by Rose. He had 21 points in 25 minutes. The first day he had 17 points in about the same minutes.

Now we have an exhibition game Monday then a few days later we will most likely play Oklahoma and then either UCONN or Kentucky.

Memphis plays Oklahoma on ESPN2 tonight at about 9 P.M. ET. It probably will start later than that though, since it starts after the conclusion of the UCONN and Gardner-Webb game.

Memphis (3-0) faces Connecticut (3-0) tonight a little after 9 P.M. ET on ESPN2.

One more win would give us sole possession of our second best start in team history. In the mid 80's we started a season 20-0. A lot of national people probably don't even realize how great Memphis (then called Memphis State) has been over the years and they think Calipari coming turned us into a great basketball school. We already were one, but then hit bad times for about 5 years.

Some former or current pros from here were: Keith Lee, Penny Hardaway, Lorenzen Wright, David Vaughn, Bedford (forget his first name for some reason), Elliott Perry, Darius Washington, Rodney Carney, Dajuan Wagner, Cedric Henderson, Antonio Burks, Shawne Williams, Earl Barron. Then some who WERE coming here but went straight to the pros instead were Amare Staudemire, Quintell Woods, and several others. Thaddeus Young is from the Memphis area I believe also.

Anyway we beat #17 Arizona by 13 1 game after beating #4 Georgetown by 14.

They better keep winning cause i keep betting on them xD

We are 30 point favorites tonight and our last 2 games we won by 44 and 37. Most of the top teams are not winning by 30+ anymore against even the bad teams. North Carolina started out winning by more than us, but now they are winning by closer to 20 against the bad teams and they barely are getting past good teams. Memphis is winning by 30-40 against bad ones and double digits still against the great ones such as Georegetown and Arizona.

It's funny Memphis won by 41 and the AP recaps start out saying "things didn't go so smoothely for Memphis", yet North Carolina beats teams like NC Asheville by 12 points and that is all dandy. lmao. We will have the last laugh when we win it all. The announcers lastnight were saying they don't even remember the last time they saw a team as deep with talent as ours and that it may take an NBA team to beat us. The past 3 games we have won by 44, 37, and 41 now.

Memphis is officially in the NCAA Tournament, as they won by 27 points in their conference championship game today to take their record to 33-1.

Memphis just received the Second #1 seed of the NCAA Tournament. Only UNC got a better #1. I think it's pretty fair. If UNC had lost today, I think Memphis should have got it.

Memphis is one game from the first Final Fur in more than 20 years. We were winning 50-20 at half time against a good Michigan State team. That's right. No typo. 50-20.

Memphis just beat Texas 85-67 to get to the final four.

Well hopefully Aaron's is right. Whoever he is. He must be a cool person though since he predicted the winner I want to win.

Someone told me that a source told him that Rose and CDR are staying. I would be extremely shocked if they do though. Rose is going to be AT WORST the #1 overall pick in the NBA draft.

Personally if I were in his situation I would stay another year and enjoy the college setup becuase the NBA isn't even basketball... it's just a no defense imitation. But if he does what people tell him, he would go pro. I just think it sucks that people base everything on money and tell students what to do. So he will feel almost forced to go pro when it SHOULD be his decision, not people convincing him.

CDR I think could stay becuase he won't be drafted high, but he does not have much to gain from staying in school, so who knows.

All 5 starters are now going to try to go pro. Anderson and Dozier now announced their intent to. As good of a recruiting class as we have I still would be worried next year if all 5 starters are gone.

Thats tough. Good for the furture though. Could work out to be the Next Florida.
