I will make an NCAA subforum later, but for now I just wanted to post a topic about the National Champions of this coming season.

We had 3 guys consider going to the NBA and 1 guy did go who was going to come here, but I believe his greades werent good enough.

Amare Staudemire was coming here a few years back and went pro instead and he unloaded unbelievable performances on NBA teams last season.

I wish we would play Duke, North Carolina, etc. this year.

looky looky, 2 of those 3 I mentioened named to the preseason wooden all america team, which only includes 50 players.

And then we have the freshman who declared for NBA then changed his mind.

If we keep winning and the good teams keep winning in preseason NIT, we already have to play the #14, #18, and #1 teams all in that order for our second, third, and fourth games of the season. We then later play #3 Texas and #7 Gonzaga at home.

today is our first of 2 exhibition games. Hopefully we win by 50+. If we do play duke, it is only 3 weeks until we would beat them.

Won our first game 2 nights abo by 44.

After the Duke game, we play 6 straight unranked teams. Then Gonzaga and Texas within a week. Then never another ranked team unless some udnerdog later gets ranked. So thus why this Duke game is important and Aaron not realizing that. If we somehow could beat Duke, Gonzaga, and texas, it would be POSSIBLE to be undefeated this season.

We were losing by 3 with 8 seconds left in the first half and ended up winning 108-83

Memphis wins against Jackson State 97-70.

We are now 5-1. We play on the road three Saturdays in a row now, with no games in-between. Then we come home for some games, including #6 Gonzaga and #2 Texas.

Memphis wins 91-81 at Cincinnati with Carney scoring 0 points. We are now 6-1.

And people kept saying how bad our conference will be since cincy, louisville, and other teams left this year... but Houston beat the #15 AND #25 teams this week! I am happy. Houston should now be ranked on this next poll. And UAB is alwyas good. So we may have 3 ranked teams in oru conference, including us and who knows... maybe 1 surprise top 25 team!

We are shown as the top #2 seed in their current forecast for the ncaa tournament. After Texas' loss, they may bump us to a #1 next update.

I can definetly see them as a #1 seed for the tournament. I think alot will depend on the Memphis/Texas game in January.

Well, we are 9-1 now after beating Louisiana Tech. Thanks to Carney scoring 37 and grabbing 10 boards.

Another week off, so assuming they dont move someone ahead of us undeservingly, we will still be ranked #4 when we play #8 Gonzaga next week. Then less than a week after that we play Texas. Then a couple weeks later we play now ranked Tennessee.

Memphis is so close to Duke for #1 in RPI now that if Duke loses 1 game, we will be the #1 in RPI. We now have a better strength of schedule than Duke currently.

This sucks that Texas got back to doing good again right when we play them. They won last night by 72!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah I pretty much agree with that.

Memphis lost by 11. We did terrible all game and managed to finally get a lead with 7 minutes left. Then we made bad decisions.

The officials did miss some calls thoguh.

I am worried now about whether or not we will make the Final Four. Because we have no shot at playing ANY top 10 team until the NCAA tournament because our conference is terrible. So we wont be challenged until then. Thus having more chance of losing!

Memphis won the next 2 gamnes after the Texas loss.

Wednesday: beat East Tennessee State (decent team) by 33.

Today: beat Winthrop (very good team, won 26 last year, top 40 RPI team) by 10.

Current record: 13-2

Wow, even after losing last week... look where espn.com has us in their "bracketology". Apparently #1 seed overall because not only do we have a #1, but they have us as playing the winner of the 64/65 play-in game. Unless Duke getting so close to home makes them use up their #1 for location so they then give us the worst team. Dunno exactly how they figure it. But I love it. lol

Well we won by 10 to go to 14-2. Hard to keep up with all this posting on here of 1 post per 100 days.

I heard from somebody that when Calipari was interviewed on the radio he says he wants to set the Best Defensive % record. They were only off the pace by 2%.
