Cardinals acquired RHP Jeff Weaver and cash considerations from the Angels from outfielder Terry Evans.

Rotoworld: A return to the Dodgers might have been even better, but we're optimistic that Weaver will have considerable fantasy value the rest of the way. He'll also be pretty useful to the Cardinals, though he's not someone who can necessarily be counted on in a playoff game. His arrival should bump Sidney Ponson from the St. Louis rotation, if not the roster entirely.
