Posted June 5, 200619 yr comment_6769 Well for the second straight night I went to a concert. The night before was some little-known person though. Also I was late to that one. Itw as finishing up when I got there. Tonight (Sunday) I went to a lynyrs skynyrd concert. In case younger people here don't know just how good they are, 1. they are in the rock 'n roll hall-of-fame. And 2. their song "freebird" is named the greatest rock song of all time on many countdowns (including one I recently heard on the radio for top 1,000 songs of all time). My favorite song was actually "red, white, and blue" tonight though. Because thatw as the only song of theirs I don't have on cd and also he dedicated it to the troops. My favorite song of theirs in general, however, is "Simple Man" and it sounded great tonight. His voice sounded very good. I was expecting it to be shot from doing a lot of concerts, but it sounded perfect. The whole accoustics in general were perfect. It was an outdoors concert and it just somehow traveled well and was a great volume. It rained all the way to the arena, yet by some miracle it never rained a drop while at the concert. The opening act was by Jason Aldean. He is a country singer whose current single is #1 on the country charts. He also won the new male vocalist award for the country music awards recently (I remember Carrie Underwood won for female). I actually liked him too. but especially since he suddenly mentioned near the end what a big guns n' roses fan he is and he did "paradise city" and "sweet child o' mine". Umm one annoying thing though was that the "restrooms" were like porta-pottys. lol I had to wait in a line just to go in one of those. Great great concert though. If I had a gf it would have been that much better going to it with one though.
