30 yrs ago the Cubs were playing the Dodgers. A father and son team ran onto the field with a US flag and some lighter fluid. They got the flag doused with the fluid and out of nowhere Rick Monday ran over and swiped the flag away before it got lit up.

I never heard this story until yesterday but think it deserves a mention here.
