She was laying on a ledge, Life guards went to ask her if she was ok, she replied "yes,I'm ok", then shortly after she stood up and passed out, they performed CPR on her, nothing, so they called the paramedics. Shortly after that she was pronounced dead at the hospital, Her name is being withheld until her parents are notified. She was reported to have no Medical Problems of any sort, the park reported that it is the 2nd child death to happen at that park. The 1st was a young boy on a space shuttle simulation type of ride, and apparently died on the ride, 2nd, this young girl, people this is sad but true u can find it under yahoo news.

Few things.

It was the 2nd child death within 6 months at Walt Disney World (not the same park) The girl died at Typhoon Lagoon, one of Disney's waterparks at Disney World and the young boy died on Mission: Space at Epcot, another park at Disney World. It is the 3rd child-related death in 6 months. There was a girl that rode Tower of Terror at MGM Studios at Disney World and a reported being dizzy when she got off. The mother took her to sit down and she passed out. Paramedics tried to revive her but she later died. It is the 4th fatality at a Disney Park in 2 years. There was a fatality at Disneyland in Anaheim, California on September 5, 2003, after a train on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad ride lost a pin in the wheels due to poor maintenanace which caused the engine to detach from the rest of the train, fly in the air and the land on the first car, killing one and severely injuring another. This accident resulted in total: 1 death and 10 injuries (1 critical). It is the about the 9th time a ride had to be shut down due to guest health or an accident at a Disney Park in 3 years. (3 on Big Thunder [the one I mentioned plus two minor train collisions], one on California Screamin' in Disney's California Adventure at the Disneyland Resort, one on Mission: Space, one on Matterhorn Bobsleds in Disneyland Park, one at Typhoon Lagoon and one on Space Mountain at Disneyland on August 2, 2002.

You can read the story bout it at http://www.mouseplanet.com/btmrr_accident/030905btmrr.htm

And Disney is still extremely safe. They get millions of visitors a year and have only had two ride related deaths (1 that is their responsibility) in 2 years. The BTMRR accident was the only death that they were responsible for. The Mission:Space death was due to the child being so young and I believe he had a pre-existing medical condition. The Tower of Terror accident was a result of a pre-existing undiagnosed medical condition with the girl's heart for which Disney is responsible for. The death at Typhoon Lagoon has no link to any ride and the COD is still unknown. So, looking at the big picture, Disney is still the safest park. They do have many accidents, however these are unavoidable. With the extreme crowds that Disney gets, accidents are guaranteed. Disney has only been responsible for like 2 deaths in its history. One was a stabbing in Tomorrowland in which they did not want to alarm guests and decided to use the company van to take him to the hospital which of course they got caught in traffic and he died. The other is the BTMRR accident due to poor maintenance. All other deaths on Disney property have been suicides or guest stupidity. Such as people standing up on Matterhorn and being decapitated to people trying to swim in Rivers of America and drowning. Also, people have tried to switch cars on the old people mover at Disneyland (which has since been removed from Disneyland but still lives at Disney World as the Tomorrowland Transit Authority) and falling and being runover. However, one of the cast members on the Carousel of Progress was crushed during training when she got too close to the wall and was pinned against it as the carousel kept spinning and was then pulled into the thin space and died. Also, a construction worker fell and died while working on the building of the Haunted Mansion. There are reports that a child dissapeared on the Haunted Mansion and was never seen again but is presumed dead.
