It had 5 objections and one of the owners in the deal asked why it was protested. Nobody said anything and I just assumed it would be vetoed, but nope. And just think of the trades you and I have done separately the past year or two which DIDN'T go through.

What is your opinion of McGowan? It sucks I have #1 waivers becuase that should not warrant picking him up, but I need a starter because it's a daily league where I want to shove in and out 2 bench starters since I have 4 closers. It's a league where the ONLY thing I can improve right now is starting pitching. And even with that I am 2 wins from the top and near the top in whip and k's. I have almost all 50 offensive points.

It's annoying that people keep picking up players to get easy k's and wins, but I say let them do it. That did nothing but hurt you last year also. You stayed near the bottom of e.r.a. and whip in the league you won. You won it becuase you had almost all offensive points. Picking up starters each week = bad e.r.a. and whip. You gain maybe 2 points in k's and 2 inw ins then could lose 4 in each on the ratios.,

I said that and then picked up santana and westbrook off FA to face tough teams tomorrow. lol

McGowan depends on the matchups for me. Im sure westy will do good because i didnt pick him up because of his matchups.

Well Westbrook and Santana (even in tough matchups) gave given up 4 earned runs in 13 and 1/3 innings. So I avoided being stung by using them. They got me 11 k's and assuming their teams hang on I will get 2 wins.

edit: spoke too soon. Now westbrook no decision and Kuroda losing to bad pitt.

How fun. Saito blew Kuroda's lead. Borowski blew Westbrook's. Arizona pen blew rj's. So even though I had four starters do good and all have leads when they left, I only get one win. Someone just dropped Brett Myers. Even though that is my league where I own 7 stud starters and only 1 active closer and 1 hurt one, I am thinking I will need to use my #1 because it's doubtful someone worth more than Myers will be dropped any time soon.

I have Harden and Soriano both DLed. I would have to waive cliff lee or micah owings though to pick up myers. Since it is a daily league maybe I will waive Owings and pick him back up for his start later in the week too. But if I waive Lee he is likely to be picked up.

I think I am gojng to try to trade a starter before Myers clears.

The only way I can pick up Brett Myers is tow aive Cliff Lee or Micah Owings. There is just no other option. Or drop Pierre and decide tomorrow which starter tow aive and pick a hitter back up. Regardless these 2 starters have been doing great and I will ahve to lose one and my #1 slot for Myers or Bonderman.

So my starting rotation now has 10 great starters at the moment: Beckett, Zambrano, Verlander, Halladay, Harden, Oliver, Penny, Myers, Bonderman, and Owings. Nine of those are #1 or #2 starters. lol This is the league I am near the bottom of and I am so loaded I am bound to get everything I need if I keep waiting for people to deal for them. No dl spot, just the 2 bench slots. It would be hard to drop Harden because he has k'd like 15 in 2 games and has an under 1 e.r.a.. I would need to see him come back and do bad tow arrant waiving him.

I waived Owings and Lee both and got Myers and Bonderman. And now I just picked up Delgado as a FA. It's kind of weird how many big names keep clearing waivers. I know Delgado is not "great" anymore, but too good to pass waivers I would think.

By the way all year I have been near the top of 2 leagues and at the bottom of the other. In fact even starting today I was 23 and 1/2 back and in 8'th place. Well today alone I jumped from 8'th place to 2'nd place and the last time I checked I went from 23 and 1/2 back to 7 back in this 1 day also. lol So I am starting to feel good becuase I have steroid using Ortiz rotting away my average and verlander doing horrible and yet I somehow got from 8'th all the way up to second now so I am right where I want to be in all leagues. This is the difference between this year and last year. I said I would destroy teams this year and you would be wise not to do a league with me and indeed unlike last year I have no distractions and am starting out good right off the bat.

Even with these guys such as motor city picking up pitchers every DAY over and over I still am near the top and they are near the bottom.

I would have to know who the 2nd player was but most likely I would keep Soriano.
