Like you said, we dont know the whole story. Maybe you should post a lil more of it.

Personally I am against abortion but that dosent mean your friend shouldnt get one. It is ultimately her decision. I really would need to hear more of the story to make a rational judgement and offer my opinion. How old is this girl is the biggest ? Does she work? Will she have a support system in place? Does the father know and if so what has he said?

Without knowing the answers to these questions I really can't say much. I'll check back later to see if you added some more details.

I smell something burning... lol j/k.

Seriously though, as Aaron and myself pointed out, it's her choice. It's her body, whatever.... Just yesterday I heard in the news about a baby who was dropped from a high-leveled building onto the side of some train tracks, naturally she's dead. SHe still had the umbilical cord clinging... It's just sad... Now they're looking for the mother...

Anyone who bases things on themselves is selfish. If someone was doing it from being raped it would be harder to say that, but even then technically they are also. Society ahs got to the point where they think everything has to be perfect for them or else they can whine and kill babies if it's not. Basing things on financial reasoning like you're doing is pretty sick though especially when it comes to killing someone. That is no different than this guy who lives here in Memphis who killed a guy a week or two ago over $5 he thought he owed him or soemthing.

If somebody is not ready mentally or financially to take care of a child they shouldn't be forced to. Having a child is a HUGE responsibility. Probobly the biggest responsibility of anyone's life. Would you rather have people bring babies into this world and then drop them in garbage cans later when they realize they cant do it.

My hope is for a woman to have the baby and then give it up for adoption but even that has its own problems. I will not be the person to tell any woman what they should or shouldnt do with their body. Its not my place. Only time I can have a voice is if I am the father.

Don't just single me out. Bettijordi agreed with me so your calling her selfish as well.

I have not ever had a child aborted nor would I. I am secure enough financially to be able to support a child. I just don't have any intrest in having any right now.

I was kidding! besides I didn't agree with you on that point...

I meant on that whole abortion sh...t. :mad2:

and it's bettyjordi...

Thats all i was talking about when I said you agreed with me. I was just pointing out my personal preference to having kids. I have never spoken to you so I have no idea about any of your values except what you have posted on here. I was just defending myself against a personal attack instead of him sticking to the discussion at hand.

Sorry BettYjordi. my bad. I have no idea why i put an I in there.

Shes 16 and was raped basically

I see that people decided to stop checking to see whether you had posted or not as they got caught up in the arguement.

I myself have been in both been raped quite a few times in my life, and i have also been impregnanted by a wanker i had known only a year and naturally i choose abortion as i didn't want the constant reminder of our "time together".

I would never have choosen abortion if it was in other circumstances, and if i could do it over i would not choose it again. I live with myself everyday knowing that i killed an innocent life, one in which i was partly responsible i just didn't believe i could raise a child knowing the circumstances in which it was concieved.

I wish your friend all the best and i hope she recieves the appropriate councilling to help her through this time, if she chose abortion then i honestly hope she does not deal with the amount of self hatred that i went through. Through this hard time in her life i hope you and many loved ones are there to support her as she should not have to go at this alone.

All my best,

Amy-lee xoxox

I just honestly think that wasnt a real girl.

It's good that you made this post though just as a reminder about how difficult decisions are.

I am sorry you were raped. What is the deal with society??? You are the fourth person i have talked to who has been raped and three of them just within the past month.

Even if it wasn't a real girl, it may have truely been someone talking about a friend.

Yes, i know it was bit of a rant however i believe people should not be so quick to judge as they have never been put in that situation in their life.

I have been raped a few times in my life, three times by an uncle when i was 9-10, at a party by a guy i don't even know when i was 13 and i personally wouldn't call it rape although i strongly felt violated on my 15th birthday.

However i do not wish to discuss it anymore on here where anyone can see.
