Invision people keep ignoring me about why the color didnt change when I changed the strip color. But anyway the dimensions basically need to be about what they are now. The 100 by 500. Or maybe even a tiny bit bigger like 120 by 500. Dont you think? Then on the sides though you need to do the same height you do for the logo and then the width 23 pixels is how theirs is. And make that little strip the background. So I guess you could make a background one that is bigger then shrink it to that. I dunno.

The only problem is figuring out how to make it work right, not really the dimensions necessarily. The main dimensions issue is you cant make the banner fit totally across the strip! If you do it will look different on different resolutions! It has to have the tiny strip repeating on the sides.

By the way I can change some other things too. For examole instead of those little icons that say IPB by each of the forum names on the main index page, I can make pictrues that relate to the forums. Although I am not sure what is or is not allowed, due to copyrights.

Also it may get deleted when the forum is updated in a week or two. So i maybe should wait.

ok people it was a PAIN but I somewhat got the second of those 2 banners up there now. If the extreme left and right do not 100% match, there is a reason for that. So I can probably fix it later. This HSOULD fit in everyone's browser properly. At elast i figured out how to do everything now. EXCEPT that first example of a banner does NOT work at all for soem reason.

So the choices are:

1. use this and I will redo the sides.

2. use the other attached kimage from the post above once I get it to work.

3. Take the word forums off this and use it.

4. Add the word forums to the other.

5. Use the original chice at the beginning of this topic, but possibly only saying Got Talk.

6. Use one of them red.

7. use one of them red plus change the whole forum to red.

probably should take out the word forums sicne it isnt in the url.

I put text on the top banner. I will change it, but I just quickly threw in some text because it was retarded having it with no title at all.

I am going to try to do a cool flash banner where the text either explodes or fades or something and even plays audio. However to do that I must change some coding somewhere to allow .swf files in the logo area! So I am guessing I must go into an actual file and alter it.

I am aware there are some things not evened out well on the banner and it is mainly there just as a placeholder and to get that tagline under the forum name. I dont have my good software installed on this computer yet. It was a pain even for sucha simple banner. This other software is pretty bad.

Also in a way I think it is good to have brighter colors. But I would hate to use blue when every other forum uses it. I may eventually make the same skin types as this, but other colors, like blur, red, and green for example. Or maybe totally different skins. That would be good for me too because I get tired of using the same look on ANYTHING for very long. I do like my black squares which tell if categories have new posts though. lol
