Otsuka closing for Texas. But I expect Cordero to get his job back soon.

Either Putz or Soriano will be Seattle's closer right now. If Guardado gets doing well again, he would get it back. But I truly expect in this case he won't. I think Putz will be closer for quite a while then Soriano will become closer the final month or two and Guardado traded somewhere perhaps and maybe only be a setup man.

Dont you ever have useful info?

Anyway... people in one of my leagues made fun of me picking up Cordero. And they said he would be in the minors by this week and not get his closer's role back like I said he would. Then after they said that he turned in a week where he was charged with 0 earned runs, gave up ONE base runner in 5 innings. That is the same as a starter geting a 1 start week and having an 0.4 whip or something close to that. If he keeps it up, obviously his job is back some time this week.

Royals activated RHP Mike MacDougal from the 60-day disabled list.

Manager Buddy Bell indicated last week that MacDougal could be put back into the closer's role right away, so fantasy leaguers will probably want to activate him now. That said, Ambiorix Burgos owners shouldn't be quick to drop the youngster. If MacDougal builds some trade value with his performance over the next couple of weeks, the Royals could move him and return Burgos to the closer's role.

ESPN is reporting that the White Sox are close to getting Mike MacDougal from the Royals for pitching prospect Tyler Lumsden.

Lumsden has a fair amount of potential, but the Royals should be able to do a little better if he's the only return. The White Sox would use MacDougal as a setup man. The Royals will likely put Ambiorix Burgos back into the closer's role.
