Posted November 22, 200520 yr comment_4304 I believe xbox360 laucnhes in about an hour in some places. Certainly within 24 hours.
November 24, 200520 yr comment_4383 Here's the story to directions on how to download the backwards compatibility patch. What a pain in the ass Microsoft is. First Update for Backwards Compatibility Available >> Xbox.com has been updated with info on how to get the latest emulation drivers on your Xbox 360. The first update, branded "November 2005", allows to play all the original Xbox games on the list Microsoft released 2 weeks ago. There are 3 ways to get this update: * Update through Xbox Live. * Burn a DVD or CD. * Order a disc by mail from Xbox.com (available early December). The 2nd option could certainly be interesting to learn more about the system. You can download the file here[xbox.com]. The zip-file contains one 2.5MB .xex file (which will give BC-support for over 200 games!), that's an Xbox 360 executable (like .xbe for the original Xbox). Once burned on CD-R or DVD+-R you'll be able to run the update on your 360 from the CD/DVD. And here is the link to the file which you can burn to a CD, stick in your 360, and get the Backwards Compatabilty profiles if you don't have LIVE. http://assets.xbox.com/en-us/backwardcompa...ity/default.zip
November 25, 200520 yr Author comment_4395 Microsoft also apparently purposely had "shortages" to increase demand.
December 8, 200520 yr comment_4529 Sounds like something Microsoft would do. To bad the ones that were released arent even working properly. Glad I decided to wait until PS3.
December 8, 200520 yr Author comment_4530 yeah I know, many have returned them. My cousin said he will just wait for PS3 also. And I amw aiting for Revolution, but may get another too I guess. Doubt it though.
December 21, 200520 yr Author comment_4705 Revolution will only be $200-$250 while other systems are as much as $500. And with those you are mainly paying for non-gaming features as Levi and I discussed yesterday.
December 22, 200520 yr comment_4714 I dont mind paying an extra hundred or so fo non-gaming features. Nintendo's fan base is more youth oriented so gaming is the main reason people buy them. Im sure there are alot of people who will buy it just to play Zelda and then also have a PS3 or 360.
