Posted August 4, 200520 yr comment_379 Ok everybody, its time to start getting some new members to this site. Jason put alot of work into it and it is looking great so far. What we need here is the word of mouth to spread. I know most of you goto other forms as well and need to spread the word there. I have adjusted my sigs on other forums to talk about this one. Mention how fresh the format is, new features and great people running it. Also be sure to get the url into the sig. If you want to start topics about it in other places but they might get ripped down. I wouldnt like it to much if another site was being advertised on my site so I think the sig is 1 way to go. Lets see if we can get 50 members by September. I don't think thats to hard. If anybody else has ideas, feel free to post them. Thank You
August 4, 200520 yr comment_387 yeah Jaime was pointing out though that idolforums.com has an area where you can. they are so huge, they don't care anyway if some go to advertised places. I dont know. As far as a lot of new members we still should wait a few days maybe. Since I dont have everything set up as far as rules and staff and all. I still havent decided on whether I will have areas unlockable either.

Anyway people are going to have to start thinking of people to try to get here or I'll just have to figure out some ways to get people here. Surely some of you know friends who are funny! I am seeing on huge forums they have a ton of members and they all are posting funny off-topic things over and over in many many topics. Instead of posting off-topic things in 1 topic, they make a topic for every little incident that happens during the day basically. If something funny happens they make a whole topic about that 1 thing ands then tons of people comment on it or make jokes. The only way to get things how I want is to get tons of cool people here. I need to finalize all my ideas on exactly how I want this forum to be and then just flat go get people from anywhere I can.

Even when people are NOT busy, they come here then leave while others are here they could tlak to. On amg, topics got going quick and peoplekept posting. here nobody does that. I make 80% of topics too!

I do agree topics die very quickly here but I am not as active as others so I am part to blame but I just remembered about the anything goes forum yesterday. Usually only check in at GD. I was bored so I decided to do some thread counting. In General Discussion there are 35 Topics. Minus all the threads about forum news/features. I dont count them because they should only be started by our admin. 33 were created by other members and only 2 created by Jason. The Breakdown Me - 8 Chelsea - 6 Mi-E dOr De TiNe RoMaNiA - 6 Jason - 2 Everybody Else - 13 Anything Goes Is a bit different. Jason does have 7 Threads started while everybody else combined only has 9. I will spend the day driving around thinking of new threads to start just to appease the King. Hopefully he will like them. :smoke:

Whether forum news or anything else, nobody is starting them and when people do finally start them, nobody responds. You are rarely on and even you are more active than people. The whole point of making this is for people to have good discussions and other than the first 2 days and then during the gymnastics Nationals nobody has had any long discussion at all. The letters topic, but evven that has only a couple posts per day. I really wanted to build this based on the people currently hee, but I dont know much to do but buoild it around strangers when nobody will post.

I know people cant always just stay here all day (this group of people, anyway), but it would be tons cooler if some people posted and thught of topics, answered others' topics, etc... Most of those topics Aaron listed were created sooooo long ago now. Plus still hoping people figure out who they could get here. It doesn't look as good if the person who made the site goes looking for people. Although I still will at several places. But really i am the only one posting 10+ amost every day. It takes almost no time to do it, so it sure isn't that people dont have time. I could post 50 ina n hour easily if I wanted.

Anyway really i wanted to do some sort of awards thing, but there are so few people staying active and so few using any of the other things, it would be hard to yet, I guess. And if I do best blogger, arcade player, and album....... there are almost no choices on those either because nobody freakin does any of them but me or aaron on arcade,me and RARELY chels on blog, then a few people on gallery. Anywayssssssssssssss we do need more members. At some point I want this place huge. But for now if we only had freakin 2 or 3 VERY active members it would fix things.
