Well that probably explains it, losing so many seniors. But go Wisconsin none the less! :happy: I'm definitely going to be watching college basketball more closely this season; need to do better on my brackets. So yay for this year, looks like a good one.

Yeah I do bad on brackets usally even though I follow memphis every game closely. I know everything about other teams decently well, but dont watch them that closely.

Inbe year i did a bracket contest on the radio and if I picked ONE game differently, I would have wona trip to Hawaii.l What did I win for barely missing it? A t-shirt. lol

I dont think they got any votes. But I remember them being good some years, so who knows. Memphis was one of the best teams in the country in the 80's, but has underachieved the past 5 years. We havent actually EDNED the season in the top 25 in many years. Unless we barely were in it 2 years ago. Hmm I cant remember.

lol last year Jordan made fun of Memphis and talked up North Carolina and this year we are beating ranked teams while UNC could only beat a team called Gardner-Webb by 3 points.

Just Noticed that u put me as a fan of syracuse. I cheer for Duke first and then any hometometown team next.

You've never mentioned Duke once yet mentioned Syracuse ebfore.

Memphis moved up to #9 despite losing. I didn't even notice until just now that we play again tonight. I thought it was tomorrow night.

Finally we are getting the exact respect we deserve. Not too much, not too little. In the past they would have moved us down even after that great display we put on.

4 Oklahoma plays 5 villanova today. So we COULD move up soon, depending. We play at 2 my time against cincinnati.

#5 Oklahoma loses. So most likely Gonzaga will move to 5 and we play them in a little more than 3 weeks. Then we play Texas, #2 at this time.

Gonzaga lost yesterday.

This is awesome the respect we are finally getting. We now moved ahead of Jaime's home team. The next person's home team we will move ahead of will be Chad's.

Memphis is now #7 in the country. Chad's Boston College is #6 and almost surely going to lose to #3 Uconn tonight or tomorrow. Whenever that is.

We only have 2 games the next 2 weeks. Both on the road, but both against unranked teams.

This is great. And Gonzaga shjould still be top 10 when we play them and then this Saturday it is #1 Duke vs. #2 Texas. So if Texas can win (and they WILL have the advantage by it being at home and plus Duke still missing a guard)... then we would play ANOTHER #1 team in a few weeks.

Chad's Boston College lost 2 days ago. So if we beat bad Providence Saturday, we will move up to #6 next week.

yeah. Rooting for Texas where they will mvoe to #1 for when we play Texas on January 2'nd.

If everything went right from now until then, it is possible us and Texas could be the top 2 when we play them. But we would have to win every game until then, including gonzaga, and then hope duke, louisville,uconn, and villanova all lose.

btw, Memphis was #1 one time and lost the same day it came out. lol And also one year Memphis lost in the Final Four thanks to the opponent shooting somewhere around 80% for the game and still only winning by like 5-7 points.

Louisville easily beat by Kentucky so we will be #4 on Monday. 8-1 record with the only loss a 3 point loss to #1 Duke because of officiating.

If they were that good they would have won without any problems.

no team is supposed to "easily" beat a #1.

Either way the better team always finds a way to win. No excuses.

That is why Dallas isnt going to the playoffs this year.
