Frankly, I dont like this layout so far. It is cutting the queries by 9 which run to load the front page and it has freed up space. But I dont really like it, so who knows what I will do. If anyone has any comment, let me know.

Also, there are a few updated things here. I have modified so many files I do not want to upgrade to 2.1.2 at this time. However, I have uploaded a few files from it to try to fix calendar and editor problems. For anyone who noticed the post box has not been lined up straight with the rest of this posting area, you will see that is fixed, the code button is now in the editors like it is supposed to be, and MOST of the calendar problems are fixed. Although on the front page it is giving the wrong date for events.

Also, I am uploading Gallery 2.0.3 right now to fix a ton of problems and a few new features.

Look at this. Even in 800 by 600 resolution,by collapsing every forum on the front page the whole forum still fits on one screen basically. lol

I've about had it with all of this. I can't decide on changes for the skin, I can't et a good layout of forums, and if I ask for advice none give any so I wont even go into what I want to change.

Just change the skin around and change some forums to subforums and some subforums to main forums. I started tot ake out borders on all of the tables but 1. it didn't work properly and 2. I am not so sure that looks ok. I also wanted to change the table color to white and THAT didnt do correctly and also is another thing that doesn't look so great. Thought about changing the icons all to little circles of different colors, but I dunno how the colors will go with the black and white. I also was going to make forum names be in blue, yet changing the color of row1 or row2 does NOT affect the forum title colors for some reason.

I'm sure somebody can fix it for you.

I am going to work on a better organization of forum areas on the front page later today. Took a long time to change the profile (as I said in other topics) and fix a couple errors in it, so I didn't have time to mess with much else. I am close to getting things more how I want them to be, I think.

Still trying to figure this all out. I have a lot of things how I want it here, but just no way to really prove to outsiders thety should join still. I still talk as much as ever and wish more peoplerwere here. Still working on layout, more mods, having the forum work as well as possible, and thinking of the best ways to get people involved.

I messed with forum titles (such as general discussion) to make them centered and I moved # viewing to under them instead of to the side. I also tried it with # viewing not being big font. But i just didn't like any of these ways. Still unsure what I want to do.

edit: lmao none of the subforums were showing because I accidentally didnt close the "if statement" for the # viewing so it only showed subforums IF someone was viewing the forum. lmao

Well changed some things, but still considering options.

On a side note, great post counts lately. Two posts yesterday.

I am never going to get this right. I just don't like it any way I have it. Small descriptions looks bad. Big descriptions looks bad. Default font of descriptions looks bad. The red doesnt look good enough to do all of them red probably. I like not having to click on subforums, but then having them as main forums adds to loading times and clutter on the index page. I just don't see much way to handle this.

Nothing looks right. But since everyone ignores me, there isn't much I can do. And the skinning techniques are terrible for IPB. Nothing changes properly and now I changed forum descriptions to black becuase of the horrible color they were before now. But now it looks bad that way also.

(as an aside, also interesting no pic or blog entry was created in the entire month of November). All I can do is make it beter and ask for advice, people. I can't post for you and pretend i am you and have convos with myself.

I redid the top of the index page. Still working on it. I accidentally didn't keep the coding for that table up there with point totals, so now if I dow ant it back somewhere, I have to redo it myself instead of quickly pasting..................

Also, I got rid of the "thank you" messages which show after you edit a post, while you're searching, afetr a PM is sent, etc... If anyone wants them back, let me know. But I think it is quite obvious if your action was done or not. In sending a PM, if it worked, it takes you back to your INBOX, wheeras you PMed the person from a post screen. So obviously you know if it sent or not.

I increased the size of all forum titles in their headers (well root forums and subforums). I centered them, but am so used to them on the left, I moved them back. Not sure yetwhich I like most. That little arrow image isn't so hot either.

Sorry for constantly changing things, but I never am happy with this layout.

The legend showing group names and colors has been separated from the usernames down there now instead of them both in the same cell. Looks better.

I may put it back where there are more direct forum links on the main page, rather than as subforums. *sigh* I can't ever get things how I want.

I just lowered the font size of the "iewing" that shows under forum titles and shows how many people are viewing it if it is over 0.

This is annoying that I have let this place get so disorganized I couldnt even find my original topic from when I even added that feature. And I sued a search and still can;t find it, so I am posting it here.

Anyway I am going to change the layout soon. I amd eciding if I should get really specific where a lot of video games, movies, etc... get their own area, just a few popular ones, etc... Also deciding how to streamline this area and not have the help and suggestions area probably.

It's funny Aaron and a couple others whine about things on this site and none of them post in such threads as this about the layout.

I am going to somehow change the layout again. May change colors here and there also. It's tough getting it how I want,f rankly.

Everytime I have posted about something I think should be added or changed, you yell at me and say stop badmouthing the site and then give me fake warnings.

I redid the layout on the front page totally. I added a lot of new areas and rearranged existing ones.

I also made it where there are custom error messages for areas which can't be viewed by guests.

I also plan on making some areas not accessible anymore without using points or money to buy a "mask" to enter them or at least agreeing to terms and conditions and then using a password.

Mainly anything goes and the fantasy sports area for now. Maybe also a market area if I add one. And if I add a sex questions area.

The Life Issues area I still have some things to add for. Also when I open the real www.gotzelda.com I will get rid of all zelda forum areas here. I already condensed all video game sustem areas into one area becuase the more specific video game talk would be on the zelda site.

Now I just need to decide which should be the default skin for this site and also I need to get a skin and logo made for www.gotzelda.com.
