I added a mod which tells who all has viewed a topic on the current day (at the bottom of every topic page). Not sure how big of a deal this is, but it is somewhat useful.

I am keeping a list of actual mods here, where it doesnt get confusing what is new by Invision and what is new by my mods I have added. This is mainly where I wil remember what all I must REDO when I upgrade. We actually can upgrade to 2.1.2 right now, but I have so many file changes it would be a pain and I feel that 2.1.2 has nothing worth going to the trouble for. It just fixes a few bugs which wont creep up any time soon probably.

28. this isn't a big deal, but I made it where if you click the "new posts" icons on the front page (which has always marked everything in that forum as read) they now mark things as read without reloading the page. Saves a little time by it not having to reload. (this is now default in IPB)

Hope you guys like how I changed the # viewing mod. I figured out how to alter how it looks. I have thus made it big font and blue. I could change it back to black or use any other color. I just think it stands out mroe as a color other than black.

note:I actually created "topics per day" MYSELF!!! I figured out that I had to edit 2 files, 1 template bit, create my OWN variable name, and foudn the formula used for posts per day to help me. For me this is a miracle becuase I have never modded anything myself until now, other than sizes and colors. w00t!

By the way I have several more things to add. It would help if you put your birthday on your profile if you dont care if it is public. Because I am going to make age under your avatar accurate. As is, you entered your age and it wont change when you have a birthday. But with me modding it, it can go by your birth date you entered and thus it will always be correct without you changing it.

I probably will add 3-5 more mods tonight. I also want to change the buttons on the forum to black where they are more consistent with the others.

edit: I indeed see how I can probably change the profile to tell how many days per topic instead of topics per day. I would probably simply have to flipflop the mathematical equasion in the source file. Should I do it or leave it as it is? I just know most of you will have less than 1 topic per day, which looks bad, so i thought it may be mnore interesting to show how many days you average between making topics. For instance if you made 1 topic in 3 days, it currently would say (0.3 topics per day). This new way I would make it say (1 topic per 3 days). This would then look abd for anyone who makes more than 1 per day. However, I am probably the only one on ehre with more than 1 per day, and mine is less than 2 per day itself. By the way, also notice I have made almost 50% of ALL topics here. That is pretty sad actually.

I have done others, but I don't remember some and then some are more for getting the site noticed, rather than features added.

I have some other mods coming up soon. I keep striving to have the most features packed here, while still weeding out the bad mods made for forums and trying not to slow the forum down much by overdoing it. I still am one of the biggest modders from what I have seen and plan on continuing it as long as i don't slow things down, as I said.

where does it say "New Posts?"

you know, those black squares that are there when there are new posts. In case you havent noticed, those are there for people who have not read all posts in that forum. So for some there are no black squares on the front page and for some tehre are many.

After a certain amount of time everything is marked read automatically. I believe I have it set at 7 days. So if you're gone for a week, when you get back, you will see what all you missed. But if you're gone for more than that, then some new posts wont be marked as new.

On the main list I am striking through all mods which are no longer used. A few of those I will put back in, but ones which aren't in demand there is no point to put them back on the site.

I also updated the first post to show that some old features are now back, which had strikethroughs. Mainly searching for posts in a topic/forum by member, links in menus at top of page again, and several other things back.

A lot of the features still gone are ones which there is no need for anymore, but some I still need to put back. The referral system flat does not work on 2.2 boards yet. Neither does Sports Betting, under my server configuration.

Reinstalled red color for new PMs number and also installed calendar points.

I tried to reinstall the favorite smileys mod, but it does not work properly in 2.2.

I'm sure u will take this as negative but why cant you just make a new list instead of 100 posts and all those cross-outs on the original list. Just looks bad and I only want the best for this site.

I did it that way where people would see which mods were once ehre and are no longer here in case a lot of people end up wanting a particular mod back.

For example, I am probably going to get rid of the clubs mod because nobody uses it and I am worried it is not secure since it allows people to moderate their clubs and that makes me wonder if they could hijack my admin account or somehow mod on other forums by some knowledge of IPB.
