Please click on "member map" at the top of the screen and then "set your pin" and then click on the map where you live. (as close as you want). Nobody can find you from this, as it is only a general map, not even down to the zip code.

I really want this done by as many as possible so I am going to add some advantage for members who do this. Not sure what yet, but I will do that later on. I want to get this as accurate as possible.

I also have an email sending out to everyone about this later this morning.

By the way, each person can only be in 1 group. So if you order them by last active, for example, you will not be listed in "this week" and "yesterday" if you joined yesterday. You will be in the most accurate one (in this case, yesterday). I created the settings shown, but they cannot be done to allow group overlapping.

I changed my avi because flash avis wont show on there. I may change mine back later though, and thus a red x will be all that shows. I also will be changing the icons which show on the map probably.

Also would be good if people would edit their profile for location actually.

Thanks!

*SIGH* why megan is listed in moderator group on there I have no clue.

Anyway, you can sort by join date and last online date also. Thus you can use this map not only to see where people live, but to notice who has been on lately.

Wow, even that isnt working right. It says megan and cody are on right now.

edit: there, i fixed that. Now just like on any page of the forum, you are considered online for 15 minutes. Then you will shift to the "this hour" group.

I amde the map sort by last active by default since it is the main useful information. If you want to sort by something else, just do it yourself. :thumb:

It just worked well for Cody. He was in the "this hour" group. Then after I typed this post, he was in the "last 3 hours" group. So I thought hmm he must have just now gone over the 1 hour old. So i looked and sure enough, he was last on 1 hour and 2 minutes ago. This is a pretty sweet feature of the map. If anyone thinks I should change any of these factors even more, let me know. I can make a few more last active groups to try to squeeze between some of these. Not sure if I will or not.

I also can get new pins or make some myself to look better I guess. May be better to add some dots that are a bit bigger. Hmm...

There we go, I turned off the group listing. That way people wont get confused and think Megan is a mod. Although she could be some time anyway. But either way, until I get that fixed, no need for it.

Member Map is there for people to know where members live.

Since Aaron claimed there was no rule saying he couldnt dumbly put his pin in a wrong place, I quote from the rules everyone must put a checkmark by when registering:

"You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this bulletin board to post any material which is knowingly false"

Well then, I must comply with the rules. I just removed my pin completely. :mj:

Make sure to update your location then because we both know you don't live in Memphis.
