Unfortunately the red sox came back last night, so there still could be a tie. I was hoping the season would just end after this weekend. I am rooting for NY and Cleveland, where boston wont go to the playoffs.

Currently: Boston 1 game behind NY and tied in wild card with Cleveland.

Speaking of that... apparently rules changed. because since win did someone get credit for winning a division based on some tie breaker. Apparently because they could win wild card, that mans NY wins division? Makes no sense.

So annoying Boston made the playoffs. Now Chad will brag and be like "see I told you we would make it all along" and act like it was never in doubt. When in reality they got lucky that all of a sudden Cleveland lost 4 of their final 5 games.

Yanks won the divison because they won the h2h matchups. They were up 9-8 on saturday. when they won it became 10-8 leaving no chance for boston to catch them in the h2h matchups. This has been in place since the wildcard was introduced about 10 yrs ago. The stupid thing is this only goes for division titles and not wildcard ties. Wild card ties have a 1 game playoff.

Well it is a good rule, but I sure never knew about it.
