They just intentionally walked Ibanez to get to sexson when sexson his last 2 at-bats had a homerun and a deep fly ut. TRhey SHOULD have brought in a lefthander if they had one left and then pitched to Ibanez and then intentionally walk sexson and bring in a righthander to pitch to beltre. EDIT: THEY DID HAVE A LEFTHANDER BECAUSE NOW MULLHOLLAND CAME IN. See if I was managing then the final score would have been either 4-2 or 5-2, with me getting a save. Mullholland get out Ibanez (a lefthander), intentionally walk Sexson, then bring in a new pitcher for beltre. And mullholland would have probably got ibanez out but maybe ona groundout to make it 5-2. And actually now mullholland just struck out Beltree too. So he could have obviously even stayed in for both ibanez and beltre both, sandwiched between an intentional walk of the one guy who could (and did) hurt them. OMG TO TOP THIS SH*T OFF, guardado then comes in anyway and gives up a homerun.

August 22, 200520 yr Author comment_1684 WE WON TODAAY!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh...my...GOSH!!!!! I just got back from MEETING LEW FORD!!!!! aka my FAVORITE player!!!!! So, he didnt start signing until 6 you know, but of course I made my dad bring us there early...we got there at like 4:45 or something. Then the lady gave us a ticket which our #'s would be called off in groups so we didnt have to sit in a line or anything and we could go eat pizza (since it was at a pizza place). So thats what me and my dad and sister did. We ate dinner and stuff. Then we had to wait for awhile still and FINALLY they started calling off the #'s to go meet Lew!! So finally our # group was called...I was getting sooo excited!!! Then we got down to where Lew was and we could see him! ah! Anyways, we finally got up to meeting him! I had him sign my shirt, and then I told him he was my favorite player! and he was like, well thank you! and thank you for wearing my jersey. and I was just like your welcome! and then...I got a PICTURE with him!! and while my dad was having him sign my picture for me (only one autograph per person lol so my dad had him sign that for him for me you know but yeah) I took a picture of him signing it! Then my dad goes...so are you saving all of your homers for the end of the season? Lew seemed a little embarrassed but he was like, yup, I have about 20 left!! Then I told him good luck! oh and his wife and kids were there. He has 2 little boys who are cute! They were piggin out on pizza lol. Anyways, here are my pics!! ME AND LEW!! Him signing my picture! The Twins had until today to work out a trade for Soriano after claiming off waivers. It's unclear whether there were any talks at all. If Texas WANTED to, they could ahve said fine you claimed him so you take him and then minnesota HAD to pay his contract and take him. Apparently Texas was only waiving him to try to trade him and didnt force Minnesota tot ake him though. I have no clue about Soriano's contract. I assume it is not very high. So yeah makes sense they wanted a trade. Minnesota may have done good to block other teams, but still if they dealt for him they WOULD make the playoffs. He was the right handed power guy they could badly use.

August 24, 200520 yr Author comment_1934 Yay. All it took was one hit to win the game, and thats what we had. Jacque Jones' 8th inning homer makes it 1-0 and thats how the game stayed. Johan threw a 3-hit 8-ininng shut out with 7 strike outs! Joe Nathan gets his 32nd (I think) save. Jacque is not playing the rest of the series to go home for the death of his uncle. Shannon Stewart made an outstanding catch, but strained his shoulder. So...we dont know whats gonna happen with him. We WON though! so YAY

I pull for Minnesota to win most games for you now, so thus they win because I am just that freakin good! That had to be a great game tho. I was gone and just saw the score and hit total and all that. Garcia is a great pitcher. Unfortunately he was one of Leandra's faves, so yeah... anyway!
