The site has been upgraded to IPB 3.0.0 RC 1.

The review and betting systems (maintained by myself) ate also updated to versions 5.0.0 and 4.0.0 respectively. However, I did not simply convert them to work with IPB 3.0. I overhauled the whole system in both cases. Thus before I turn them on I must make some scripts to get the database set up accordingly and have the old data work properly.

I will update this topic later with more information or will create some new topics.

A few notes:

1. In Internet Explorer 8, when you click your member dropdown menu on the upper right of the screen, the menu DOES drop down, but you have to scroll to the right to find it. This bug will be fixed by the time the final version of 3.0.0 is released.

2. Let me know of any other bugs you notice.

3. Many things are temporarily gone from the site. Blog and Gallery should be back in a week. I'm not sure when such things as arcade, casino, lottery, bug tracker, will be back.

4. There is no point system right now. I will either try to make my own or someone else will soon. All of the past totals are still fine in the database. You simply won't receive points for new posts until someone can make that.

5. I will talk about IPB 3 features when I get a chance. The main noticable new feature is the reputation system. You can give positive or negative reputation to posts by anyone other than admins. I felt it's not too wise to allow it on admins' posts, but I will think about that later. Another new feature is public polls where you can see who voted for each choice in your polls if you set up that type of poll.

6. Go to the bottom of a page and click the link to mark all forums as read where all topics won't be shown as new topics.

7. A few other enw features are bbcode for adding various videos into posts, twitter compatibility, that member card in topic view when you click the little button by a username, and facebook connect compatibility. For Facebook I would have to create an app on facebook and then people couldjoin the site through facebook and also your status on facebook would be on your profile here, I believe.

I was really tired so was slow doing anything today. I got the review system within a matter of minutes or maybe an hour of being ready, so hopefully I get that and betting both working by tomorrow.

Blah. I am aware the quick editors are extremely buggy in IE 8. In the review system one of them is as buggy as this topic view one and then the other is a little better for some reason even though I used the same code in both.

Fun, fun fun! I accidentally forgot to change a field type in the DB and I accidentally ran a function before uploading the changed file and so now I am stuck with every matchup we ever had having nobody listed as the winner. lol I luckily backed up the database and I am going to have to manually edit 200 rows I guess. Hours of time wasted, but better than losing that data I guess.

So I should open the betting system later today. I fixed another nasty bug too.

edit: Actually I figured out an easy way. I took the old data from the file, I changed the table name, I imported it, I ran a script to put those lost fields back into the real table, ran another script to have them look like they are supposed to, so bottom line is I fixed everything. Now I need to do juust a little more later today.
