Chicago Bulls point guard and former Memphis point guard Derrick Rose was overwhelmingly voted the NBA rookie of the year.

My favorite NBA team as a kid and teenager was the Chicago Bulls and now although I have to like the Grizzlies also, I am going to be following the Bulls again also.

Rose is extraordinary. He is much more smart and mature than the average person of his age and he absolutely dominated for Memphis to end last season.

In the first game of this year's NBA playoff series he played in he got within one basket of the all time rookie record for points in a playoff game.
