The first round of the NCAA Tournament has been completed. Three different #12 seeds beat #5 seeds. A #13 beat a #4. Then three #10s beat 7s and a #11 beat a #6.

Also several top teams (Memphis, Pittsburgh, and Louisville) played badly for over half of their games. Meanwhile despite somewhat slow starts, North Carolina and UCONN destroyed their opponents.

Overall it has not been as surprising as it could have been, but there have eben a decent number of upsets.

The #1 seeds are now exactly 100-0 in the history of games vs. #16 seeds.

Eight games are played today and eight tomorrow.
