Memphis flat laid it on Gonzaga. Gonzaga went on a 13-0 run in the second half, Memphis purposely did a shot clock violation at the end of the game to show respect, and STILL won by 18. That shows how ugly it was.

I think this pushed Memphis up to a #2 seed now and this is an AMAZING team. They are not the same team as last year and yet I am just as happy about them! They work hard and are getting what they deserve for it by winning now 14 straight. They have perhaps the best defense in the entire country.

The #4, #5, #7, #8, #9, #10, #11, and #12 teams all lost this week and Memphis was #14. So we should be in the top 10 on the next poll for the first time this season. A month ago we were #31. When 7-12 all lose and #4 lost by 27 points and almost lost a second game (duke) a very good case could be made to put Memphis all the way up to #7.
