306 registered members and only 2 active posters. Something is majorly wrong with that.

How about we start being proactive and start pointing out what you like or dont like about this site. The Owner has put alot of work into this and needs feedback so he knows what to fix or leave. Even if its somethng trivial, post it here and lets get GT back on track.

Thanks

What's sadder is you weren't posting in it during the Olympics so it sat there. That's why I didn't change it to something new, it got no new people here and you didn't post in it either until the Olympics were actually over. Also I was going to make it be about the Presidential race, but there eneds to be more people for thigns which could end up being big discussions.

I'm going to add some more forum areas and reorganize soon, hopefully. I've been working hard to get my personal programs (reviews and betting) ready for IPB 3.0 so it leaves me little time to do other things. Also it's hard to decide what areas to add here. I know I want an area for discussing things in the market place such as electronics, separate science and technology into two areas really. Maybe a few other areas. Still I mainly need to find a lot of people to post here though. I don't really think it's lack of features or forum areas here, but rather just that I can't ever get a small group extremely active regardless of content.

Other forum sites bug me. They have ridiculous rules rather than using common sense. For example if someone bumps a topic from a year ago, they automatically tell them that it's old and not to bump old toipics and then they close it. Even if the post was relevant. Then when people make new topics they close them and tell them to post in one that already exists about that topic. lol

Haha yeah, some forums have weird rules. I make mine use common sense lol. When people bump topics from a year ago with a relevant post, that's fine. What's annoying is when people bump topics from a year ago with a post like "so, what's up?" or "did anything happen?" or the ever-classic "haha". That's what annoys me, haha.

But you should have a forum for computer scientists on here :p I know you're into coding, I'm into coding (and majoring in Computer Science), so I think it'd be an asset, especially if you can get other programmers on here. It's nice to have a place where you KNOW the people and can post a problem and get a legitimate, helpful, respectful response. Other sites specifically for programming help tend not to be as nice because you have the jerks that look down upon you because you're asking for help, etc., you know?

Yes I am definitely going to add an area for programming as well as one to talk about general computer-related things. For one thing my computer sounds like it's about to die and I need to post about that!

I'm always still trying to learn new things related to php or javascript. I have to ask on other sites since nobody is ever here who knows anything about it. If you're here sometimes you may be able to help me. lol

By the way I have almost 100% updated the review system, sports betting system, and a system I am making for someone else to all work with IPB 3.0. I have to skin them and there is some other "annoying work" such as pasting a new query setup for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of queries I had set up between the components (now called apps). Mainly because I am trying to get anything using query() to use their now named build() function. Also simple_ queries are totally history so for now I made my on internal function to convert old simple_select functions into the current build() ones. But it would be better if I just go through and convert them one by one to build.

Man now I am practically talking to myself here. lol But I still like posting anyway so oh well. It would be so nice if it did get active though. The literally years of low activity is why I don't rush to add things. Everything has seemed like a waste of time really because it doesnt get used. I soon am going to think of new forum areas to put ehre though and rearrange some categories.
