Memphis' 1,000+ day streak of not losing a conference game continues. Tulsa was winning by 1 point with 4.5 seconds left. Memphis had to go the entire length of the court. They did it and made a layup as the buzzer sounded. Thus Memphis won 55-54 to continue thir streak.

During the past three seasons COMBINED they lost 1 sole game and that one was a close loss on the road to UAB. UAB nearly beat us last year again and we play them this Saturday also. They probably would love to beat us again since they are the last conference team to get the job done.

51 in a row. If we don't lose another conference game this year we will be in second place, 3 wins behind the all time best conference streak which was by Kentucky in the SEC decades ago.

Also Duke got hammered by North Carolina last night and Wake Forest lost AGAIN. Two straight weeks those teams lost. So if Memphis wins Saturday they should jump them both and be possibly in the top 5 depending on how other teams do.

Going for 57 later tonight. Tonight's game is the last conference game which we have a chance at all of losing this year unless something odd happens. After this game we play no more road conference games. We have 1 home one and then the conference tourney is also at home.

We SHOULD go into the ncaa tourney with a 31-3 record.

For the past 4 years we are now 130-13.

The streak is at 60. Championship at 10:30 AM my time Saturday.

We also are the first team this season with 30 wins, as we were lasts eason also.

Our seniors have now officially won more games than any, yes ANY players in the history of basketball!

Also memphis became the first tewam ever to win 30+ for 4 straight seasons and calipari the first coach to achieve that.

UCLA was upset, so the only way UCLA will tie our new record for 4 straight 30 win seasons is if they get all the way to the national championship game.

Some say we can still get a #1 seed and some don't.

Actually another streak I heard: Memphis is the only team ever to have 25 game winning streaks in 3 straight seasons. Unlike past years, though, we're actually entering the ncaa tournament while IN our big winning streak still. If we win the national championship we will end the season with 31 straight wins and would finish 37-3. Last year we set the record with 38 wins, so if we were to win it all this year we would miss our record by only 1. It's pretty pathetic we didn't get a #1 seed, but we got the top #2 seed so even if we had gotten the #1 the ONLY difference would have been we would have been on the opposite side of the same bracket and if we play UCONN we would be wearing road uniforms now wheras it would have been home ones if we got the #1 instead of them. I also think it's annoying our game is in the morning Thursday rather than later in the day.
