I worked very hard to release Sports Betting 3.2.0 today. I decided last night that I wanted to add the ability to do NFL Playoff Brackets. Since the NFL has a strange format I had to replicate all of the NCAA Basketball Tournament Bracket functions and then totally alter them to fit this new strange format.

It ended up being probably a full 8 hour load to get it done even with the pre-existing bracket setup to look at to help me. I went back through my work several times and each time I noticed typos which would have caused this not to work properly. So please pay attention and notice if it shows an incorrect pick for you.

New in 3.2.0:

NFL Style Bracket Contests

*pick the winners for the NFL playoffs.

*receive points for each correct pick.

*win a jackpot by being the top at picking the winners.

*win a bonus if you have a perfect bracket.

*depending on which teams you pick in round 1, it will move them to varying matchups for game 2as is the case in real life.

Bug Fixes

*several bug fixes.

I'm going to try to fix some bugs, make the look a bit more organized, etc... later. I'm not sure if I will add much in the way of new features at this point though.

Some things I may add at some point:

1. Some sort of fantasy sports game, but probably just a simple one.

2. Maybe have results page have options to see any date, not just the past couple days.

3. Stat keeping tweaks.

4. Maybe user-created contests/brackets, but with small limits. Not sure about letting them add matchups themselves unless I have to approve them and I determine the odds which will be used by them.

5. Maybe have teams in a dropdown on my add form rather than me naming a new one each time. I could then have a table separate from everything else and have the teams in that. By this means I could have some sort of info page for each team added.

That's about all that I have plans to add for the future unless I think of another idea. I may do those and then be done with this system other than being sure it works with each IPB upgrade.

Pretty much have this ready for IPB 3, but may tweak it and alkso fix bugs. Maybe add a feature by then if I have time.
