I'm thinking of buying a new phone even though I don't need one anyway...

But if I do, there are a lot of choices:

1. LG Dare for about $129- has a 3.2 MP camera, touch screen, similar to iphone for half the price, etc.

2. Samsung Omnia for $199- 5 MP camera.

3. Blackberry

4. HTC Touch Pro for $199- rated very good.

I probably shouldn't pay the money for a new phone anyway, but those do look cool. It also seems kind of strange to have a phone without number keys though.

I got a 4 GB microsdhc card and it won't work in my phone. If they won't let me take it back, I could buy one of these to at least be able to use that though. lol Also I don't have a camera and my current phone is only 1.3 MP. So I could either have a camera which is 2 and 1/2 times the MP and a phone be with it or a camera which is like 4-5 times the MP and it be only the camera.

Doubt anyone here has tried any of these phones, but if so then let me know what you think.

That I get my emails immediately and that I can view Office documents on my phone. I pay an xtra 45$ a month for unlimited data package so my emails are always fwded to me and unlimited internet access. For my wife's dare we only have to pay 15$ a month for her unlimited internet access but she has no need for emails to be directed right to her phone.

Now I see I can get a free blackberry pearl and $50 for signing a two year contract, but those apparently are a lot cheaper already than other blackberries anyway. Their starting price is $120 I think. Also mainly what I want in a cell is a better camera, cool features, and for it to be able to use an sdhc 4 gb card. I don't see my self hardly ever using email or internet on it. And also interesting you say your emails are forwarded to yours, as you never answer emails and say you don't check it. :p

My phone is down to 1 bar and once it dies I have to get a new phone because it won't charge anymore because I guess something in the phone broke off or something... because the charger won't fit snugly and it won't start charging.

I am unsure what to get. I could get a blackberry pearl for free, but what do I have to pay data transfer monthly charges for? Is there anything I can sue WITHOUT paying monthly fees? I already pay over $40 for DSL on my computer and over $50 for my phone which I don't use too often. Last thing I want to do is pay $30 more per month.

The storm costs around $200 and I would rather not pay that much. I can get an env2 for $130 or a chocolate3 for $70. The chocolate3 is similar to my vx8600 really.

But ALL phones I looked at have thigns I don't like about them. And most of them have 1.3 or 2.0 MP cameras. I believe your storm has around a 3.0 or 3.2 which I would like to have, but it's expensive and I could buy a 10 MP camera for that price probably.

Most people say touch screen phonees freeze and are annoying.

I considered samsung flipshot due to the 3.0 camera, but you and others have said the camera actually sucks despite the mega pixels.

And it's hard to tell what phones have good CALL QUALITY which is most important of all! I read on cnet.com, but really no phone is rated just flat out awesomely by readers.

On cnet it says that the samsung omnia is better than the storm and it has a whopping 5.0 MP camera for the same price. But like I said... I would rather not spend that.

Well now that thing goes from working to not working and you can't even tell if it's truly charging or not. It showed it as charging and I left it on there for more than 12 hours, took it off, and it hadn't charged one bit.

I wish I could figure out what phone to get. All I care about is the call quality, it being a flip phone, a camera that isn't TOO bad, and that's about it really.

But what's annoying is that reviews by customers contradict each other. One guy said the motorola krave sucks so he got the lg chocolate 3. Another guy said the chocolate 3 sucks so he is getting a motorola. lol

From what i read, it "seems" that some issues with the chocolate 3 are that it doesn't even give an alert if you have missed calls and some say the sound for calls isn't good and some say it is. Also everyone says the ringer is too loud even on low.

For the krave it supposedly has great sound quality, but some people say it's not calibrated properly so when you press letters when texting it will enter the one next to it sometimes and there is now ay to fix it.

The krave is a touch phone and only $50. The chcolate 3 is not a touch phone and is like $60 or $70.

Now i am down to considering the lg chocolate 3 and the new samsung alias 2.

I know Aaron was not impressed with a Samsung, but this phone is new and looks interesting. I only see one eprson's rating of it and he rated it 5 stars. He said the sound quality is good, which is the main thing I care about.

It has something called "e-ink technology" which changes the keys on the phone between standard keys and a QWERTY keyboard.

The camera is only 2.0 MP, but that's better than my broken phone's camera and the only phones with ebtter than 2 MP are oens costing $150+.

The chocolate 3 is $90. The alias 2 is $80.

I am getting the env touch! On CNET it's rated 5 stars, on verizon it's rated 4 and 1/2. I tried it and the env3 in the store and I just caved in to temptation to buy it for double what the env3 costs.

The camera is supposedly a lot better than the env3 desptie being 3.2 MP vs. 3.0. The color saturation is much better on this touch I am getting.

The only things worse on the touch are:

1. touch screen rather than number keys. I kinda would rather use keys.

2. on env3 you can see yourself while taking a pic of yourself. On this you can't.

3. longer battery life by an hour for env3

4. this cost me $110 and the env3 would have been $40.

Some people even got rid of their blackberries to get this phone and many people are saying this is the absolute best phone you can get for Verizon.
