The 2008 Bowl Contest is underway. Make your picks for who will win the 34 NCAA football bowl games.

Please read the following notes:

*The winner receives 5,000 points. Each correct pick receives 100 points.

*You can bet a normal bet of 0 points if you don't want to risk any points, but want to have the pick entered in the contest.

*You can bet a free bet and type in the maximum bet amount for your bet. That will not be risking points either, but you have a monthly limit of those.

*You can bet a normal bet of up to the maximum bet amount for a normal bet.

*You can bet a big bet of up to the maximum bet amount and thus have your winnings multiplied.

*There is no deadline for the contest itself. However each matchup must be done by its own specific deadline.

*Please note that there are 2 pages of matchups. Don't overlook the matchups on page 2.

*I have put the name of the bowl and the location for each matchup. So pay attention to that to notice who is playing closeer to their home.

*Most games do not have the favored team listed since odds are not available for many of them yet. Odds themselves are not used on any of these though.

*Different matchups are worth differing amounts of points. The national championship could net you thousands of points on its own if you do a big bet and win.

Where do you enter? If you have the "new matchups" link, click that and go to each matchup and fill out the forms and submit them one by one. If you do not have that link, click the Betting link under the site logo. Once there go down the page until you get to the contests table. (several tables down from the top). Click the contest name. On that page click on the huge text link at the top of the page to get to the matchups.

It would be good if all matchups were on one page and you check the boxes next to each one. it would also be good if each member who joins causes the jackpot to go up. However, I have not had enough time to do any of that. I will work on this system the next couple weeks, but I would still recommend selecting your teams now before you forget.

I hope Aaron ends up filling out all of these. I am waiting, but when others wait they usually forget. :p

I really want to get some use out of these things. As long as it keeps being only me filling everything out then I obviously am going to win everything which is pretty dumb when I'm the admin. I at least want to earn it by beating people. :)

Looks like everything paid out properly.

I really need to display bet types even AFTER bets are completed where it's easier to tell if thigns paid properly.

Also Aaron, you haven't bet for Sunday's game or many others. And you're the only one who's trying to compete with me.

I fixed an issue where bets of 0 weren't allowed.
