How about on the main forum screen add a shout box.

Well that is the type of feature to add when a forum is already active really. I personally never have liked them because they take up a lot of space and then if people post in those it doesn't add post count to the site and is pretty much the same as if they were posting in the off topicizzle topic.

Invision has a shoutbox which is free and designed by programmers as a group where it is more likely to be good and bug-free than solo projects. Maybe a good idea for the future, but somehow there needs to be a lot more posting here in general or it would just be a cluttery feature which wouldn't get used and would then make the site look even more dead.

You actually do get free points each Monday. (the higher group you're in, the more you get).

Try to at least post something relevant though. I'm not making a big deal since it's so inactive here anyway, but if it were more active I would worry more about the spamming.

I probably should just ditch the post requirement for playing games until the site is more active though.
