I am using Blog 1.4 RC 2 here now. I felt that it seemed stable enough to use live.

It is greatly changed, as you will see once you go to that section of the site.

Some changes:

1. The share options for each entry where you can share it via facebook, google, etc...

2. Show videos in entries. Click "Insert Special Item" in your editor. Paste the url to the video in the box. Then it will show in your entry in the video player. It works for youtube links and some other links also. I don't remember offhand which ones.

3. Major layout changes. I want to redo how the main page looks though.

4. Featured entry. I can have one entry shown at the top as a featured entry.

5. Themes. You can make your blog look very unique by using pre-made themes or even create your own theme. Basically you are changing the CSS. I'm sure not many members here understand how to do that, but even if you don't you could use a pre-made theme and then when you try to create a new one you will see the coding there and can change it around.

6. Your comments for your own entries are highlighted.

7. Multiple headers to choose form (if not currently, some can be added).

Other changes here and there. I put my points system back in and tested it and it works fine. I also have everything set to show the link on every page when there are new entires still too.

If you have not yet created a blog and you get a blank page when trying to create a new one, simply go into your controls or PM system and then go BACK to that link again and it will work. Or you can simply create the blog straight from the control panel.

If you find any issues, report them in the bug tracker. Also if you have any ideas to make it look better please elt me know that also. Thanks.

Hey, look at the front blog page and tell me if you like it better in the black skin than the others.

The official way is the 2 entries per row. In a beta version it was one per row like I changed it to in the black skin now.

I think it looks better one per row, but that I need to still make it look a little different per entry, what do you think? The main thing I do not like about one per row is that it takes up a lot of vertical space for that page.

I assume you aren't using the black skin though which it looks differently on. I don't like the look on the other skins because blocks are all uneven (especially in internet explorer). So I'm not sure which you're saying looks ok. I am keeping it one per row in the main skin, but not sure if I should have it the other way on some skins or not.

It looks to me like the final version of 1.4 may be out this week or at least by next week and they changed it back to 1 entry per row for theirs also. So I guess that's that... I edited it to put it back to 1 per row so I guess they finally agreed that it's the only way to effectively have it at this point, as 2 per row looks so messed up.
