I already can see what people are going to try to do in the daily transaction leagues. In both of my daily leagues a team has been adding and dropping several players per day which are hitters. Apparently trying to get extra offense by picking up new hitters on days they have hitters' teams not playing.

Luckily CBS only allows 2 bench slots, so they are going to not be able to do it for pitching AND hitting. A lot of times they aren't even using bench slots though. They are using crappy catchers and middle infielders and then dropping them when their teams don't play.

First month of the season is so annoying. Players who are killing me in categories can't be dropped this early and if it turns out they do keep sucking then I am putting myself in a hole.

Infield Pitching Outfield. That was my draft strategy this yr.

As far as drafting I didn't have much of a strategy other than don't draft any pitching early. Like I said, in one league I got Papelbon in round 7 or 8. I really think drafting infielders first is a mistake though. I did draft utley first in a league, but think about it... think what you're getting. You get at best 30/30. Well you can find a second baseman MAYBE who can do 20/20 off of free agency so you're using a #1 slot for only 10 homers and 10 steals gain really. Wheras someone like arod is 20 homers gaijn and a ton of rbis gain.

I think JD Drew ma FINALLY be my nice sleeper pick. He homered today and he should be due for a big season. he and Patterson are who I am counting on as sleepers really.

Ankiel, Justin Upton and Billy Butler were 3 of my big sleepers. Hamilton strarted as 1 but blew it with that great spring.

Ankiel I talked up since last year before he came up. But this year he is being drafted too high. I wouldn't call hima sleeper since in my drafts a lot of times he was taken tooe arly.

Upton I think will do good and what annoys me is I meant tos ee if he was still a FA anywhere today and he WAS, but I forgot to looka nd someone picked him up.

Now I am deciding if Owings is good enough to warrant me waiving someone for.

Utley has 2 dingers today.

I haven't had a bad performance by ANY pitcher, starter or closer, in ANY league thus far. Even Arroyo and Kuroda have done good and then the rest are top nothc aces.

I just keep sitting here watching people pick up players I want to pick up becuase I can never decide who to drop.

Reynolds and Gathright were just picked up.

There is another player I want to pick up, but better not say who in case someone from that league happens to read anything here, which is doubtful.

But anyway I am tempted to just waive adam jones, aroyo, kent, and others... but kent is hot and the other two are promising. Arroyo is close to 90% owned.

edit: ok, it's rj. I would have tow aive kent, kuroda or arroyo basically. Or kelly johnson.

By the way someone traded byrnes for cueto and then was surprised it is protested. Byrnes was an 8th round pick and Cueto was not drafted.

I was thinking of trading corpas for a starter in a league I have 4 closers in then i thought whoaaaaaa in daily transactions it is PERFECT to have 4 clsoers. perfect. i can just daily move starters in and out and always have 4 closers in yet get plenty of starts unlike weekly.

So I think I am going to waive jeff kent and have yet another starter to move in and out. I really want to pick up Gathright, but I think the bench is wasted when hitters are there.

Maybe I would waive Wilklingham for gathright. Hmm.

What's weird is I have strugglign pujols and soriano yet I am somehow near the top in all offensive categories.

I told you what the whole add/drop of pitchers does. Motor City keeps doing it and just now he added and dropped FOUR pitchers and this is a daily league where it is definitely going to assure the 1 in e.r.a. and whip if he keeps doing it. I see right now he has the 2 in e.r.a. and 1 in whip. Shocker. It's like throwing away 2 categories, so even if you get a 10 in the others it all evens out to be four 5 and 1/2s if you get the 2 1's.

Well now even this part of the site is dead because Aaron disappeared, but anyway... it's annoying I keep getting trade offers from people that I JUST TOLD THEM I am not interested in. And not only that... even with the horrible offers they are making they immediately withdraw them in a lot of cases. So I guess they think they aren't ripping me off enough in them if I were to accept. lol

You should see who these owners keep adding and dropping each day. It's got so bad that they are adding pitchers not eevn heard of just to increase their k's and wins totals. They are going to really be screwed when their e.r.a. and whip are so bad and with so many innings pitched that nothing will bring them down again.
