Just reminding people they are there. To create your first album, you must go to your control panel first. I also can ad categories for everyone to post in the same one. And you can add anyone's pics to your "favorites". That may come in handy if there ever are a lot of people here in the future. (for now, however, you cant use favorites until 500 posts).

I swear, people are so pathetic here at using these 2 features and I think they could be very cool. Nobody comments or uses them at all. I actually like how they are set up. Plus going to do some awards for it if people ever use them!

In the vesion i am testing but not using for the live board yet, you rate people's blogs (their pics and topics also). The general stuff people do during their day should really be going in blogs than general topics. Much funner! Same thing as posting it, but just a much better layout and then people can comment directly to you instead of having to quote in a topic to show who they are commenting on.

In the new version, it will tell who is viewing each blog when you are.

Does anyone think I should just risk using the BETA versions of some of this stuff already? So far it has all worked fine for me. But I would certainly hate it if some bug then got rid of some posts somehow.

As for photo gallery, that is cool too. Easier to find people's pics and you can comment on those also.

I really didnt think the blogs was a big deal,but it is pretty nice. You can make categories also and have certain blogs go in certain categories. And you can have a link to your photo gallery and a random pic showing there. then when you get a higher post count I will enable you putting pics right in the blog entries themselves!

I think these could be so cool. I am not just saying that to get my money's worth for them. lol Origianlly that was the main goal. Still i do hate tow aste them, but i am not kidding that I can see them being fun if enough people used them!

I know but you used to post pics pretty often of yourself on amg and now you stopped doing it anywhere. I am just saying people in general dont. I wish more did and blogs too. Just interesting lookign and reading rather than normal posts all the time.

Blogs are working again at the top and it is the beta version of course. I really like the blogs more than posting in General Discussion now. I think they are fun. Maybe I am weird, but I like writing in them and I never used to like writing journal type things. I made mine where it tells at the top of mine who is viewing it. Then of course you can add comments, rate people's blogs, you can even search a person's blog entries!

I think it is very cool being able to move around things how you like, being able to go to a person's blog and see what is going on witht ehm rather than going through posts here where you have tos ee other poeople's posts between reading what someone did that day, and there are many other things I havent used yet. You can have an "about me" area and also only let certain people view blogs, although I would say that it is better letting everyone view them. i guess unless someone like Kay were here, you could make it where she couldnt see you talking about her. lmao Unless she were an admin then she could see it.

Not trying to make people use them, but I personally like it and keep posting in mine. lol It could have a few better things somehow, but overall pretty nice fit. So far havent noticed errors in the beta version.

Nobody has been commenting on them and werent commenting on pics when they were there either. ahhhhhhh.

I just think it fits nicer than writing about your day in topics. People dont even go TO blogs and gallery much, thus why they dont usethem.

As soon as I start up monthly awards,there are going to be some for best blog and best photo gallery. if people dont start using hem then I would be the only one who could really honestly win for blogs. lmao.

I'm honestly surprised nobody likes blogs. Much easier way to keep up with someone's life and it still be members, not some other site (although you can have your blog redirect to another site, but much cooler to use it here).

Anyway photo gallery is a mess for the beta is why I am not chancing it. I hope they have the next beta/RC version by Monday or Tuesday.

So do you just rate based on how interesting a topic is?

I guess. People can do what they want, but I just see on other forums people usually only rate if they think something is really good or really bad lol But I dont know. Just whatever people want to do, i guess.

I have it where you can rate in most areas, but I wonder if I should only have rating for general discussion and anything goes. And then review areas.

Aaron and Tyler made photo albums. I post a lot in blogs. Arcade is pretty cool.

To make albums, go to "my controls". On the left of the next screen in the photo gallery section choose "your albums". That is where you create them, not actually IN gallery itself.

Wow, since I moved to this server I could let the blog banners stretch based on how long your titles are and I didn't realize it.

That worked fine months back, but once I moved to this host it did not work becuase the server did not have something necessary for that feature to be enabled.

So if you noticed, there were small banenrs and the words for the titles went way off them.

Now this server is better than the last, despite having the same host so now those banners stretch to accomodate your title lebngths.
