Posted March 8, 200818 yr comment_9346 Well I am sure a lot of people have heard about the horrible murder scene that took place here recently. Four adults and two children were tortured and gruesomely murdered. Three other children are in the hospital currently. It's so bad that other members of their family are in protective custody AND they won't even allow family members to visit the children in the hospital, fearing it is too dangerous to risk it. Also now people in the city are outraged that some blogger posted photographs of one of the corpses. he went and took the photos without permission and it's possible that it's a class E felony. Horrible situation. I think it is pretty obvious why it happened though. The man who owned the home and was one of the ones murdered.... had served prison time for aggrevated assault and then was charged with assault of another prisoner. He was also in the well known Memphis gang known as the Gangster Disciples. Shows yet more reason not to get involved with the wrong people. Now little kids suffered because of it. Hopefully the murderers are found. There is currently an $80,000 reward and the reward amount keeps growing. I am guessing they wilkl catch them because most likely someone else in a gang will know who did it, but didn't participate themselves and would love to get their hands on 80 g's.
March 8, 200817 yr Author comment_9360 Well a lot is at commercialappeal.com but I never saw the original story., Several articles there talk about it still and say it was the most horrific crime scene, with hundreds of pieces of evidence One kid who survived had a knife in his skull and ohters who survived had finger tips cut off.

I myself have not even read it yet, but the title makes me think it was a much different reason behind it than I predicted.
March 10, 200817 yr Author comment_9387 What I don't understand is they said originally they sspect mroe than one killer. I think I am going to go out on a limb and predict someone else in the family being arrested. Because for one thing a lady in the family said she figured a killer tortured and killed the children in front of the man. Some kids had toes or fingers missing, I think. So now I am wondering if he did that as a coverup to make it seem like they were tortured by a stranger and then had this lady to suggest it and maybe she knew he killed them.
