It's probably set up that way in case others had posted while you are posting and you want to see what you missed while typing. Some like it that way and some don't. There was once a modification to make it redirect to the index page instead, but I'm not even sure if it will work with this version and I'm not sure if I would want it that way really.

It could be argued that it should take you to the parent forum instead, such as "baseball" forum if your topic was in baseball. A lot of people would like it different ways. Technically I could even probably figure out how to give members a choice, although I am sure it would slow down topics though, which already are overloaded.

I am considering getting rid of the who viewed the topic today area down there and put it back to only who is viewing it currently, becuase that alone is slowing down topics.
