I am pleased to announce that I have released Reviews System 2.0.1.

I worked hard enough on it to maybe warrant it being 2.1.0, but most are fixes.

Some of the changes are as follows:

1. Fixed inconsistencies with overall score formats. On many pages I changed it to say 10/10 for perfect, otherwise use decimal form.

2. Changed the overall field itself in the DB to a decimal field. This solved some sorting issues.

3. Fixed tag case sensitivity issue.

4. Basically everywhere other than search now is divided into page numbers after a certain number of results. The search page won't ever have many results anyway, so I felt there was no need there. Even sorting results in page numbers now, which was kind of tough to implement.

5. Added the link to the friends page and fixed the bug where names were not sorted totally alphabetically. Much more difficult than you would think. I had to learn something new to be able to do it.

6. The top products page is now a true top products page. It is sorted by average overall rating for the product. The 4 columns on the right, however, can have their title clicked to sort by that category. Thus it can be sorted by several rating types. For some of those ratings it may not have a score and thus those products will not be shown for the other sort types.

7. No Results row shows on front page until an author is rated.

8. Category/Product sorting used to have cid hidden in the url. Thus not obvious what to link to if you wanted to link someone. I now put cid in the url so links will go to where you want.

9. Cleaned up many templates where info which wasn't needed was placed, as well as certain html issues.

19. Put Overall and Alphabetical into the product sorter. This was very complicated to do because of how the software is set up. I have tested it and it appears to work great.

20. User group colors now are shown for stats1 table on main page, stats3 table on main page, list of reviews on a product page, author and edited by names on review pages, tags, viewallbymember, sort, viewall, friends, all with favs page, lastvisit, statspage, deals. Very time consuming, trust me. Other areas already had group colors.

21. Bottom thin row to end table was missing on the all with fav page.

22. Updated footer to show that compguy was not the only one to make this system. In fact I have spent 500 hours on it, much more than he did. :p

23. Other bug fixes here and there and various things to make everything look a little better.

24. Avatars on profile page. "No Photo" if you don't have an avatar.

25. Sped up profile and review pages.

The changes don't seem so major, thus why I am calling this 2.0.1 instead of 2.1.0. However, they are some very nice changes which I am proud of. I always wanted overall in the product sorter and it seemed impossible, but I now was able to get it done. I also love the top products page working properly now as well as the friends page. The friends page has links to everything for friends you added, plus friends who added you!

I am happy because to me all of the little things are starting to add up to make it a very pleasant system. Once utilized, it will become a great showcase of what effort has been put into it by compguy and I.

The main things I want to do any time soon all involve making it look better and having the writing process much easier and straightforward.

In the future I do still want to add various pages, clean up the coding to be more efficient, move things around, and have better graphics.
