I have now opened Version 2.0.0 of Sports Betting. I considered only changing the version number to 1.1.0, but I said all along when I had a Bowl Picker it would be 2.0.0. Here are highlights of additions and changes in this new version.

Stats

1. I added a stats page which shows the top 50 members for bets won and the top 50 members for points won from the betting system.

2 Day Warning

1. This page shows all matchups you have not yet bet on which will be closing in the next 48 hours. This way you can more easily make sure you did not overlook some matchups which are about to close.

Results Page

1. This page shows results of matchups for the current day. This way you can keep track of which games will take place that day.

2. I made a nifty set of links at the top with yesterday, today, and tomorrow. The page you are currently on will be large text. The other two are smaller text and links. This way you can see results for the previous day as well as take a peak at what will be coming up the next day.

Front Page

1. Category shown for the featured matchups.

Link Bar

1. Search bar is gone and many more links are now in the link bar.

My Bets

1. Bet Type is given in the result column and the amount you bet. Once the game is paid out, it changes to a green won amount or a red lost amount.

Bet Pages

1, If you forget to enter an amount you will receive an error message.

2. Results of the matchup are given once it has been paid out.

Calculations

1. Your bet points total is not subtracted until you lose a bet, but your regular points are taken immediately where you can't bet more points than you own obviously.

Bowl Pick Additions

1. There is now a stats page which shows who has the most correct bowl picks thus far. Simply click the Picks link on the link bar.

2. Clicking a member's name on that page now takes you to a list of their bowl picks.

3. If matchups are still open when you view another member's bowl picks page, it will say "Waiting" for their pick where you can't cheat to stay ahead of them by knowing who they picked and then copying their picks.

4. An asterisk by their pick means you also picked the same team.

5. You can view your own page by clicking the "My Picks" link in the link bar. It will show the same type of table, but I made it where there obviously aren't asterisks anymore and some words are changed to reflect that it is your OWN page, not someone else's.

New Matchups Link

1. On any page you will see a link with red text stating if there are new matchups added since your last visit.

Future Plans

1. NCAA Tourney Picker.

2. Fantasy sports content including a daily game to pick which of several players will have the best day.

3. Photos/logos of teams. I already have the settings there, but have not yet decided where I can put them and have things still look good.

4. Tips area for matchups. You would either pay points or maybe be in a certain suer group to be able to read tips for matchups. I think this is a cool idea because I may, for example, point out a trend I notice with a team or maybe something someone else informed me of.

5. Skinning and bug fixing.

6. User Group Permissions.

7. Users submit matchups and if I approve them, memebrs can bet on theirs.

8. Separate out the Bowl Picker to be different and more feature-packed.

9. Sports Trivia Section.

Eh for now I am still calling it 2.0.0, but after a few more changes I will call it 2.0.1. Normally software companies test things on a test site, add a lot of fixes and features, then release them all at once as a new version number. I, on the other hand, am adding them live and so I will just change the version numbers when I feel I have added enough to warrant it.

Things I just did (minor):

1. Made the link which tells how many mathcups have been added since your last visit now only show the number of OPEN ones, becuase why bother showing how many cllosed ones have been added since you last were here?

2. On the recent matchups page it thus now only displays the open ones since your last visit.

3. Some cleanup in a couple areas as far as html.

4. Fixed bug where no links would show on the My Bets page.

5. Multiplier is now shown in () on the my bets page where you will now how much it will be multiplied by. On the matchup pages it tells the CURRENT multiplier. If you bet at that time, then YOUR multiplier is that one. If I then change the multiplier later, it will change on the betting pages, but YOURS remains the same and is displayed on your My Bets page.

Did some more fixes. I am going to redesign some things later today and then call it either 2.1.0 or 2.0.1, depending on what all I do.

Moving through versions quickly here. lol I pretty much have fixed all known bugs other than a couple weird skin issues.
