August 22, 200520 yr comment_1734 I actually watched Men's gymnastics. And my random pick did well, Sean Golden. I was really impressed by his power and poise, if he was strong at all events he'd kick. But it was fun to watch a men's competition instead of always women. And even better I got to see it on my upstairs TV instead of the small 10" in my basement. ^_^ Well, it's been a week so I know that all my letters have been delivered to the gymnasts. Hope I'll be getting replies in the near future. Wee, I can't wait. :D
August 22, 200520 yr comment_1741 just think how sad you will feel if Carly officially announces it! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> yup i will cry....TEARS OF JOY! I actually watched Men's gymnastics. When did you mail your letters? Last monday? Same with me. I am anxiously waiting replies from not only them, but the ones I sent BEFORE nationals.
August 22, 200520 yr comment_1750 Yep, last Monday would be the day (almost sure about that, my memory's a tad bit faulty) I sent them also. *Goes plops himself down by mailbox* ^_^ Well whoever produced the Men's finals did a good job, it was nice to see event to event to event and seeing more men gymnasts. I enjoyed that.

August 22, 200520 yr Author comment_1757 Well... at least you have nothing to do... I hate summer homework and I have like 4 days to do it... and I'm still on here lol and I'm going out later, I'm so good at this school thing lol. I loved the Men's portion, I still think they're a weak team overall but they have a lot of potential! I loved Thorton, I loved Golden, I loved Durante, and Guillermo Alvarez has some shmexay hair!!! It's so cool!!! I feel so bad for Townsend though... didn't he almost win a World Championship? WTF is going on?! Poor guy, and I love him to death too so, urgh, I really hope he pulls it together because in '01 he was great (that's as far back as I can vividly remember so maybe before that too, I'm not really sure lol).

We never have anything like that where I go to school. That must stink bad. Wow, he was an elite competing in 2001? That's quite a while, hope he bounces back also, that'd be nice to see. But that's one thing that really surprised me about men's gymnastics. Like all of them are in their 20's and college students. Compared to senior women being only like 15-18. So I guess men have an advantage age wise. But yeah, that caught me off guard; guess I haven't really noticed that. ^_^ But I do see a lot of potential in the men's team nontheless.
August 22, 200520 yr comment_1759 Seans been around forever. Since 1998 I think. He was a 2000 Olympian, 2001 National Champ, went to 2001 worlds WON P-bars, and could have won AA had he not fallen off highbar TWICE. It was so sad! Him and Paul both had a chance to medal but effed up in the last rotation on highbar. Ever since then he has just fallen apart. I feel so bad for him and I really hope he gets it together.

I mean, there isn't a gymnast who hasn't ever fallen on every apparatus at least once... but I guess Sean didn't/doesn't seem to have the fight in him, at least not for now. I really hope he'll bounce back because in the day he was a great AAer.
August 26, 200520 yr comment_2170 Got some new news on the National team. I didn't know where to put this, but it deals with a lot about the Championships. Anywho, here's the official national team: Clickity I guess they didn't give Priess a break. Oh well, it looks like they only take results form Nationals for Women's, which is probably the best and fairest way to do the selection. Edited August 26, 200520 yr by Jags45
August 26, 200520 yr comment_2186 not really though. Becuase for the Olympic team they gave people breaks and acted as if only what they can do to help mattered, so they shouldnt be inconsistent in how they handle things.
