I don't know... I think that the US Men's team is going to get CRUSHED at Worlds. Just looking at the progress some of the Europeans have made and keeping an eye on certain people. Japan is as strong as ever, I'm sure China hasn't let up any, Russia supposedly has a few to watch, than Hambuchen, Urzica, Sucui, Van Gelder, Chechi, Deffer, the Wammes brothers, I don't know... the U.S. just doesn't stack up well in my opinion.

well so much for me watching much of gymnastics this weekend. I really feel like episodes of the show i am getting on dvd are too good to skip any except i can skip like1 tonght is about it. lol So I dunno.

Hope my dvd recorder doesnt break from recording 48 straight hours. I dunno how it can last that long.

What a coincidence, I just saw Tessa's FX for prelims too! I just absolutely love her dance moves! That's something I rarely see with other gymnasts. No wonder why you love her so much, Megan. And that commentator on the videos, Abomb I think is his name, just kills me. :lol:

And her whole routine was fun to watch (it makes it even better because she smiles so much) and I could actually point out some skills, so I must be learning something about gymnastics from Gymstand. ^_^

Oh, and congrats to Thorton winning the National title!

They're doing the men's compeition next weekend :o Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!!!!!! That means they'll be able to focus on either women's or men's instead of doing back and forth crap or only showing one. NBC has moved from idiotic asses to semi-intelligent butt holes.

Well I'm happy NBC is doing men's too. I was a bit perplexed looking at the TV guide, thought it was a repeat at first but then I looked at the subtext and it said men's. Kind of surprised by that. ^_^ So that awesome!

I wish it was a repeat. Then it would be easier for me to get all these other shows on dvd plus watch gymnastics.

That's the exact same score that she got at the classics. That does seem odd, maybe one of the judges just didn't like it. But by that description it sounds like she could've scored better. :blink: Oh well. But her weakest events are coming up. Hope she can nail them even though the SV isn't that great.

Yay for Bianca! She's in the lead! And Shayla moved up nicely as well. Gosh, it's going to be close by the look of the scores.

Well I don't think unless Shayla does spectacular on vault and FX (neither her best at the moment) and both Kelley and Flohr fall will anyone really be fighting for 1st other than Natasha and Bianca. I think 3rd is almost anyone's game right now and 1st is all what kind of mentality Bianca and Natasha have, but I am VERY happy for Shayla. If she pulls a shaky DTY I think she could take third and if *not likely* but if Natasha or Bianca choke she could maybe even take second. Anything is possible, I just hope no one else gets injured.

Tessa got a 9.333 on bars by the way. Poor Megan, first Bianca was stuck in the 6th slot, now Tessa is, I hope she makes her move in these last two rotations.

Yeah, it's only a margin of .067, but I still wish Shayla had hit just a little on Thursday, I still have faith in her though. Besides the fact that even if she does get 3rd, look who got third last year! Jana Beiger and she's owning this year, she's supposedly one of the bright hopes for Worlds. So I have lots of faith in Ms. Worley. And if she hits her vault and one of the two messes up, there's still a great chance of her pulling out a top 2 spot. I don't think either Kelley or Flohr will do that but I'm really happy for Bianca. I'm not really that much of a fan of Natasha so if one of the two chokes I would much rather it be Natasha.

Jana Bieger is definitely a bright star in the world of gymnastics this year, she's one of the people I'm planning on writing to when nationals are done. If she performs like she did last night, she may have an excellent chance take the title. But it's still way too close to tell for Seniors.

Bianca got a 9.416 on her FX! Congratulations to her! Hopefully Worley can meet, or preferably beat, that score. Natasha's floor exercise is in the process right now...
