Advertisement The offense is punishable by up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine, although federal sentencing guidelines most likely would call for less. Vick's plea hearing is Aug. 27. "After consulting with his family over the weekend, Michael Vick asked that I announce today that he has reached an agreement with federal prosecutors regarding the charges pending against him," lead defense attorney Billy Martin said in a statement. "Mr. Vick has agreed to enter a plea of guilty to those charges and to accept full responsibility for his actions and the mistakes he has made. Michael wishes to apologize again to everyone who has been hurt by this matter." NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has barred Vick from the Falcons' training camp but has withheld further action while the league conducts its own investigation. http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10307169
August 22, 200718 yr comment_8359 Please explain the difference in a boxing match where two individuals beat each other in the head until one can no longer stand, killing a deer, other birds, going rabbit hunting, hooking a fish in the mouth with a sharp object that makes it bleed and killing a dog. I really need to know so that I can explain it to youth at the church. While discussing the Vick case with them in a effort to condemn such behavior, the question came up. After some thought, it is a valid one. Thank you for your answer. Freida Miller 801 E. 6th Street Corinth, MS 38834
August 22, 200718 yr Author comment_8361 I dont understand the comparison of the michael vick case to boxing or hunting or any other sport. How is starving, torturing and brutally killing dogs the same as any sport you mentioned?
